About The Role
This role will be responsible for all aspects of developing solar farm projects as well as other forms of renewable technologies as the need arises. This will involve supporting the origination of opportunities, landowner negotiations, outline design and resource assessment, environmental and planning work, stakeholder management and the management of development projects through the planning system.

You will be responsible for managing the project budget and leading the approval process for full investment. There is also the opportunity to continue to manage the project through the construction phase, depending on the skillset of the successful candidate.

About You

  • Demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously, utilising large numbers of resources, including consultants and contractors.
  • Full EU driving licence.
  • Experience and / or understanding of the planning process ROI.

To begin with, you would be working on our client's flagship solar project which is currently in the late stages of development before the handover into construction and delivery. Following this project, you would then be involved in the early stage development work in this companies portfolio.

Across these projects, your role would include:


Discharge of planning conditions post receiving planning consent in the development stage, and ensuring these conditions are adhered to in the delivery stages.

Close liaison with the construction team to support the project through the delivery stages, including supporting on procurement of the relevant EPC services.

Management of key property and land transactions both in early and late stage development to ensure project feasibility.

Main Purpose of Role:

The Project Officer will play a key role within the Goal 1 Empowering Disadvantaged Communities team and will be required to implement the actions planned under Goal 1 of the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP). They will be required to meet with community groups and their representatives on a one to one and a committee basis to provide advice, guidance, development supports, mentoring and facilitated workshops/training.

The role will also include supporting projects and fostering awareness of environmental and climate action matters within communities.

SALARY:

Project Officer Scale - €36,000

Conditions of Work:

· The Project Officer will be required to work 35 hours a week.

· Based in the Gaeltacht office.

· A probationary period of at least six months will apply
