**What you'll do:**
The Centre for Intelligent Power (CIP) is seeking interns to work within its multidisciplinary teams. If you are excited and inspired by the thought of contributing to a more sustainable global future, as well as bringing digitalization solutions and mindset to Eaton's vast portfolio of products and services across multiple industries that our company operates.
We have an exciting new opportunity for a UX/UI designer looking to build their career in data visualisation. The design intern will be fully supported by a team of talented designers and developers who take on a range of exciting projects across Eaton's portfolios. The design intern will gain valuable experience in UX/UI processes at each stage of the design lifecycle.
In your role as a UX/UI designer you will work in a fun and talented interdisciplinary team UI designers, UX designers, and frontend developers, with a shared goal of respecting, collaborating, and learning from one another. You will be involved in multiple aspect of design from ideating, Sketching, wireframing, to prototyping using a range of tools such as Miro and Figma. You will be exposed to all parts of the design process.
**What you can expect to learn: **
During your internship you will learn to work collaboratively on various exciting projects including dashboards, websites, and design systems. You will have the opportunity to share your design work through presentations and peer reviews. Design thinking training, Figma course and other relevant courses will be available to you to advance your career. You will have access to Senior UX designers to support and mentor you through your internship.
**Qualifications:**
Ongoing university studies (BSc/MSc) in Product Design, UX style course or similar
**Skills:**
+ A portfolio showcasing your creative design solutions and skills is essential when applying to this role.
+ Experience with Figma, Miro, or other industry-standard design tools.
+ Experience in designing user interfaces, interactive prototypes or data visualisation projects
+ Knowledge of fundamental visual design principles as well as UX/UI Design processes and User-Centred Design principles
+ Experience leading interviews, focus groups or testing sessions with end users.
+ Interest in learning to incorporate generative AI in the design process.

The scope of the work includes the RTL design and implementation of complex clock and data recovery algorithms, adaptive digitally assisted control loops and the development of advanced DSP designs to achieve power efficient channel equalization solutions. The successful candidate will work with an experienced mixed signal design team delivering world-class SerDes solutions. Day to day responsibilities: RTL implementation of algorithms for clock and data recovery, adaptive digital control and DSP. Communication with the architecture team to understand proposed algorithms and provide feedback regarding design implementation. Digital design verification to ensure basic design functionality prior to hand-off of the design to verification team Design verification using standard industry tools for HDL checking e.g. CDC, RDC, Lint Support of the verification team in the debug of identified issues Assist with silicon bring up and debug. Creation of clear design specifications and implementation documentation. Preferred Experience: Extensive experience in RTL design methodologies, specification development and design implementation. Familiarity with RTL design using a HDL such as Verilog or VHDL, Verilog being a preference. Experience in modern digital ASIC methodologies including verification, STA and signal integrity, DFT, synthesis, physical implementation. Strong technical expertise in verification methodologies such as UVM, SystemVerilog, and formal verification techniques. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Perl, TCL) for testbench automation and data analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence technical decisions. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team building, coaching, and performance management. Experience with industry-standard EDA tools and design flows (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics) is highly desirable.
