At least 1 years experience in a relevant setting, with proven ability to implement Person-Centred Plans.

Strong report writing, IT, and interpersonal skills.

Full manual driving licence.

Location Assignment to a residential services based in Ballinasloe, Co Galway The Role: The Team Leader has a pivotal role in managing the day to day delivery of services. The Team Leader will provide leadership & supervision to teams while ensuring the development of the service is in line with Personal Outcomes Measures and HIQA standards and regulations. The main responsibilities are to assist the Team Managers, Service Coordinator and Area Manager with the management of a residential Services, such as, with resource-management and staffing - including rosters, staff development, facilitating communication, professional leadership in order to ensure a good quality of life for the people we support. The successful candidate must provide leadership and vision in the development of the service in line with HIQA Standards and Regulation, Personal Outcomes Measures and future service developments as well as managing the day to day running of the service. Reporting/Responsible To: Team Manager/Service Coordinator / Area Manager Qualifications/Experience: Each candidate ideally should possess the following qualifications and experience: Candidates must have a professional qualification relevant to the Health or Social Care sectors i.e. an RNID/RMHN qualification or a recognised (QQI) qualification in Applied Social Studies (minimum level 7) An appropriate Health/Social Care Management qualification is desirable (QQI Level 6). On appointment, if the successful candidate does not already hold such a qualification, they must undertake to complete an appropriate management course within a specified time-frame. Previous experience of effectively managing a staff team and demonstrate a proven ability to pro-actively lead, motivate, empower and achieve results through people is advantageous; Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience gained in services for people with intellectual disabilities. Experience of working with individuals who may exhibit behaviours of concern is a requirement of the job. Experience of front line service management and leading teams is desirable Be familiar with of the National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities and The Health Act 2007 (Care and Support of Residents in Designated Centres for Persons (Children and Adults with Disabilities) Regulations 2013. Demonstrate a clear commitment to community integration and active citizenship for all people with disabilities with experience in the area of human rights and advocacy. A full clean manual Driving Licence, which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish Roads and use of your own car is an essential requirement. Skills: Candidates should be able to demonstrate leadership, communication and team working skills and be a flexible and dynamic individual who will relate to people in a range of situations with an understanding of and commitment to the principles of public accountability as they apply in the health service. The Team Leader must demonstrate leadership and planning skills and the ability to set goals, put into action and follow through. The Team Leader must have the ability to exercise good judgement, discretion and confidentiality, be creative and self-motivated, communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms and co-operate in a team environment with a person-centred philosophy. Working Hours: Contracted hours will depend on the grade of the successful candidate i.e. 78 hours a fortnight (SCL grade) 75 hours a fortnight (CNM1 grade). It is envisaged that this post will primarily be Monday to Friday with contracted hours of work liable to change between the hours of 8am - 9pm. Occasional weekend work, night duties or sleepovers may be required in line with service provision. An 'On Call' commitment is a requirement of this post. Flexibility around this will be expected in order to meet service needs. The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual. RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.We are hiring a Health care Assistant for a leading Nursing home in Dublin, Ireland.Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, implement, and evaluate individual and group activity programmes tailored to each resident’s needs, interests, and abilities.

Coordinate and participate in activities that promote social interaction, reality orientation, cognitive engagement, and overall wellbeing.

Provide in-room activities for residents who are confined or prefer to remain in their rooms, ensuring inclusion and meaningful engagement.

Conduct activity assessments and complete care plan documentation to reflect each resident’s functional abilities, interests, and needs.

Maintain accurate records of activity participation and outcomes in residents’ charts, ensuring completeness and compliance.

Design and distribute monthly activity calendars that reflect a diverse and engaging range of events and programmes.

Develop and review Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plans for the Activity Programme to ensure consistent enhancement of quality and effectiveness.

Requirements

QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, Nursing Studies, Community Care, Health Service Skills, or equivalent.

Relevant experience working in elderly care / residential care settings is desirable.

Good verbal and written English skills to communicate effectively with residents, family, and the care team.
