Working Hours: Contracted hours will depend on the grade of the successful candidate - i.e. 78 hours a fortnight (SCL grade) or 75 hours a fortnight (CNM1 grade) rostered flexibly on a 7 day duty roster. The Team leader will work as a frontline member of the team with protected time to carry out specific team leader duties. In addition, a sleep-in and/or night duty commitment may be a requirement of posts in residential services for which the appropriate allowance will be paid. Job Title: Complex Care Assistant Homecare Packages Location: County Meath Pay Rate: €18 €2 per hour Shift Type: Flexible Full-time, Part-time, and Relief Shifts Available Position Summary We are recruiting experienced and compassionate Complex Care Assistants to deliver high-quality care within homecare packages across County Meath. This role involves supporting clients with complex health needs, ensuring safety, dignity, and the highest standard of person-centred care. Key Responsibilities Provide tailored, person-centred care in clients homes. Support with specialist healthcare tasks, which may include: Enteral Feeding (PEG/NG Tube) Epilepsy management and seizure support Tracheostomy care and suctioning Ventilation and oxygen therapy Dysphagia support and safe swallowing assistance Stoma and catheter care Medication administration and bowel management Assist with personal care, mobility, and activities of daily living. Safely manage challenging behaviours using PMVA/Breakaway techniques where required. Offer support for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex conditions. Maintain accurate care records and promptly report any changes in condition. Collaborate effectively with families, supervising nurses, and multidisciplinary teams. Requirements Previous experience in a Complex Care or Healthcare Assistant role (homecare or hospital setting). Training or certification in one or more of the following is highly desirable: Enteral Feeding, Tracheostomy, Ventilation, Oxygen Therapy Epilepsy Awareness, Dysphagia, Autism & Learning Disabilities Awareness PMVA/Breakaway, Medication Management, Stoma/Catheter Care A caring, empathetic approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
