+ Perform investigations and studies in order to improve the effectiveness and reduce the use of chemicals in the facility and the generation of wastes.
+ Design, develop, evaluate, and/ or purchase equipment in order to comply with environmental, hygiene, and safety laws.
+ Perform hygiene studies, such as noise survey, heat stress, air monitoring, waste sampling, etc. In order to provide employees a safe working environment
+ Perform environmental and safety audits in order to assess compliance to environmental and safety laws and regulations
+ Obtain disposable permits for the hazardous, solid and special waste streams.
+ Maintain and file environmental, hygiene, and safety documents as per internal policies and procedures and environmental and safety laws and regulations.

Managing the EHS Global standards and corporate guidance documents within the system is essential. Supervising monthly KPI records is also a key task, ensuring their accuracy and timely reporting. The role involves being responsible for the implementation and adoption of the Entropy system at various sites, addressing any deficiencies by advising the Regional EHS Manager or taking appropriate action.
Generating EHS reports from the system as needed is part of the job. The role also supports initiatives to manage and reduce environmental risks and liabilities while working to improve the company's overall EHS performance and external reputation.
**Required Qualifications for Consideration:**
+ EH&S experience in Ireland.
+ Knowledge of statistics, data collection, analysis, and data presentation.

+ Support implementation of continuous improvement actions that align with strategic focus and audit readiness.

+ Act as Abbott Clonmel representative at Abbott Ireland wellness forums.Oversee management and execution of wellness events on site including external reporting requirements.
+ Oversee and improve occupational health initiatives on site including the development of a framework for occupational health standard activities, the site ergonomic stretch programme, the site gym and fitness programme and the annual flu vaccination programme.
+ Co-ordinate environmental monitoring in line with the site monitoring plan.

**EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES**
+ National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline. Relevant work experience advantageous but not essential or an equivalent combination of education and workexperience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar OSHE role, ideally in an aviation or MRO environment.

  • Train the Trainer or equivalent certification in safety training delivery.

  • Strong working knowledge of current OSHE legislation and best practices.

  • Proven ability to influence and lead safety culture initiatives across teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and training skills.

  • High level of computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office.

  • Must be eligible to obtain an airside pass (5-year background check) and pass a pre-employment medical including drug screening.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Must have full working rights in Ireland.

Occupational Safety, Health & Environment (OSHE) Manager Our client is a leading Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) based in Ireland and the UK. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Safety, Health & Environment (OSHE) Manager to join their team in Dublin. This role will be based onsite at Dublin Airport, with responsibility for multiple sites. Overview As the OSHE Manager, you will be responsible for the management and development of the Company's safety, health, and environmental management system. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will lead and develop the Company's Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Management System. Responsibilities Manage and develop the Company's safety, health, and environmental management system. Ensure compliance with relevant safety, health, and environment legislation, standards, and licenses. Create and enforce safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence. Manage all safety and environmental training requirements and develop training programs for employees. Prepare and submit reports on safety and environmental performance to management and regulatory bodies. Oversee waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Train the Trainer or an equivalent training qualification. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an OSHE role, preferably in an MRO or aviation environment. Ability to obtain and maintain a current valid airside pass/able to pass a 5-year security background check. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Permitted to live and work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction. Day-to-day Project manage facility tasks where required. Other works relating to facilities, safety, health, and environment as required.
