The successful candidate will be responsible for the preventative and reactive maintenance, fault finding and installation of various types of equipment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct wiring, installation, and commissioning of plant equipment.
- Ability to work on own initiative and to work from schematics and blueprints.
- Adhere to health and safety standards including regulatory requirements when conducting duties.
- As part of the Maintenance team, work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications.
- Perform electro-mechanical troubleshooting of processing & packaging equipment.
- Responsible for high-speed repairs of equipment.
- Maintain a high-level performance across the production team and take appropriate action where faults occur.

- Candidates should be flexible regarding working hours. The role will require call out on a rotational basis.
Qualifications / Experience
- Possess relevant trade qualification.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in similar role in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Commercial and industrial experience

The Duties of the Position Include:
- Maintain, repair, and service all hospital electrical systems and distribution networks.
- Monitor, maintain, and ensure efficient operation of electrical, air conditioning, generator, UPS,

- Support and develop computerised maintenance systems and the Building Energy Management System, actively managing energy use.
- Liaise and collaborate with multi-discipline colleagues across the Maintenance Department.

The Ideal Candidate will:
- Qualified Craftsperson (Electrical) to senior trades standard or equivalent, with proven facilities maintenance experience.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, air conditioning, and catering equipment.
- Familiarity with building management systems and generators.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Five-day roster/shift pattern and will involve working Saturday on a rotational basis.
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and generators is desirable
- Must be eligible to work within the EU

*Overview of the Role: *
The Utilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the execution of the preventive and corrective maintenance program as per client requirements in a safe, efficient and competent manner in line with cGMP and site protocols and procedures. He/she will work closely with day and shift colleagues and leads to ensure all work is carried out safely, correctly and as efficiently as possible.
*Day to Day of the Role: *
- All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS and cGMP rules and guidelines; any irregularities to be reported to the Maintenance & Calibration Lead or Contract Manager.
- Carry out work as per schedule supplied by the Maintenance & Calibrations Lead, Planner and as per site policies, schedules and procedures.
- Troubleshoot problems with utilities equipment as necessary and as directed by site supervisors
- Complete site documentation before and after work tasks, as appropriate
- Liaise with Contractors during planned service maintenance.
- Participate in the appropriate training.
- Carry out Risk Assessment of Equipment Maintenance Task List steps and ensure these are always kept valid.
- Carry out Periodic reviews of WI's/SOP to ensure documents are always current and valid.
- Flexibility to work on equipment in all buildings
- Work and interact with the client utilities engineering team
- Flexibility to work around maintenance shutdown's
- Be familiar with all GMP rules and regulations
- Be familiar with statutory requirements
- Be responsible for his/her training curricula and ensure missing requirements are completed
- Maintenance of housekeeping standards compatible with pharmaceutical manufacturing in the general plant, control rooms and compatibility with clean room requirements as required. Responsible for applying 5 S methodology in all areas.
- Implement and participate in utilities reliability programs
- If/when required, provide technical input/ support during the implementation of new projects from design through to beneficial use.
*Required Skills for the Role: *
- Senior Trades, City & Guilds or equivalent in electrical engineering.
- Electrical experience, 2 years minimum and good understanding of the basic fundamentals of the various utilities systems.
Experience on the following:
Pumps, HVAC Systems, Compressors, Boilers, steam systems and ancillary services, (DHW skids), Chillers, Cooling Towers, Clean steam Boilers, Purified Water Systems, CIP systems, Low /Medium Voltage Electrical Systems.
- Good understanding of Preventive Maintenance Systems.
- Work within a Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order system environment.
- Work within a documented Permit to Work System
- Computer literate
- Ability to read and understand P&ID's.
- Understanding of SOP's and GMP Engineering systems.
- Understanding of Basic Instrumentation
Must be able to demonstrate hands on experience with detailed knowledge/skill in the following area's:

About the Role:
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the site's electrical systems. You'll work hands-on in a dynamic technical environment where your expertise will directly contribute to minimizing downtime and enhancing operational reliability.
Role & Responsibilities:
· Responding to alarms/faults in a safe efficient and timely manner ensuring the process remains in control.
· Conducting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual equipment preventative maintenance checks.

· Help to further develop asset care procedures and SOPs

The ideal Candidate:

· Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset
· Aptitude for process awareness, diagnostic/trouble shooting in a high-volume environment.
· Team player with a can-do attitude

· Candidates need to be comfortable using IT systems as part of their role.
· Good knowledge of PLC system a distinct advantage

- Fixed Wire Testing, PAT Testing, RCD / Injection Testing.

We have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Applied Health & Nutrition site in Carrigaline. This is an important role that will help ensure maintenance and efficiency across the site.
As part of the engineering maintenance team, you will work to implement the site maintenance strategy through delivery of a program of preventative maintenance routines & completing planned/unplanned work requests from the team's customers.
You will also minimise plant downtime caused by equipment breakdown & troubleshooting maintenance problems, outlining probable causes & suggesting solutions that will avoid breakdown reoccurrence.
This is a shift-based role covering a variety of shifts from early to late, including out of hours on-call.

What you'll be doing- Implement new plant modifications/ processes that are required as part of the enzyme business strategy.
- Develop a working knowledge of the site's existing & future asset base.
- Implement a system of planned maintenance routines correctly in a timely manner so as to minimise plant downtime.
- Use of Permit To Work System to implement all maintenance work in a safe manner.
- Use of a computer maintenance system to manage/track all planned/unplanned work requests, record work done, parts used & maintain a history of the site's current & future asset base.
- Troubleshoot all breakdowns & to continuously improve existing design/routines so as to minimise downtime & maximise asset productivity.
- Adhere to the required good manufacturing practices and maintains the area in a clean and tidy condition in line with the site safety and quality excellence principles.
- Help implement the model of continuous improvement and adapt to new plant technologies and processes.
- Completion of a relevant electrical apprenticeship
- Previous experience in a GMP regulated industry
- Proven experience with instrumentation set-up & maintenance in a PLC environment
- Basic mechanical skills required for equipment isolation & first line troubleshooting. This will also be required as part of the call out duties of the role.
- Good team-working & communication skills.
- Working electrical knowledge of equipment typically found in food process industry.
- Strong electrical, instrumentation & mechanical trouble shooting & problem solving skills.
- Self motivator & self organiser
- Computer literate

We are now inviting applications for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated Maintenance Department. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in a hospital environment where safety, reliability, and teamwork are at the core of everything we do.
The Duties of the Position Include:
- Maintain, repair, and service all hospital electrical systems and distribution networks.
- Monitor, maintain, and ensure efficient operation of electrical, air conditioning, generator, UPS,
- and related plant and services.
- Support and develop computerised maintenance systems and the Building Energy Management System, actively managing energy use.
- Liaise and collaborate with multi-discipline colleagues across the Maintenance Department.
- Apply knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulatory standards relevant to a healthcare setting.
- Carry out all work in full compliance with Safety, EHS, and Infection Control requirements.
- Carry out preventative maintenance programmes and keep accurate records, logs, and test results
- Liaise with end users to understand and address maintenance needs.
- Participate in on-call and emergency cover rosters, including carrying a hospital pager.
- Take part in training and upskilling programmes as required.
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Qualified Craftsperson (Electrical) to senior trades standard or equivalent, with proven facilities maintenance experience.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, air conditioning, and catering equipment.
- Familiarity with building management systems and generators.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Five-day roster/shift pattern and will involve working Saturday on a rotational basis.
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and generators is desirable
- Must be eligible to work within the EU
