Websites and our CMS are the core of Squarespace. The mission of the Experience team is to modernize and evolve Squarespace's primary product offering, our Website builder and CMS. You'll help develop systems and frameworks that empower both internal teams and external customers to build features on top of the Website builder in a secure and self-service manner. This role requires a strong focus on backend technologies to create scalable, maintainable systems and solve challenges in system architecture, performance, and data management, all while contributing to reducing technical debt. This is a hybrid role working from our Dublin office 3 days per week. You will report to the Engineering Team Manager of the Experience Team.

Who We're Looking For

• Have 7+ years of experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Be well-versed in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Have experience building and maintaining large-scale software systems.
• Hold a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience.
• Have experience with databases such as MongoDB, SQL, PostgreSQL, and working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Enjoy mentoring and collaborating with engineers of different skill levels to promote growth and success.
