Main responsibilities:
- During the Process Engineering rotation, you will learn how engineering principles are applied to the production of biopharmaceuticals, develop your understanding of the fundamentals of process control, learn how to ensure appropriate standards are met as well as develop and implement improvement initiatives in manufacturing and development operations. The main area of work is to own and deliver projects works under the bracket of continuous improvement in the existing thawing, formulation, filling, filter integrity testing and wash/autoclave areas to support NPI and capacity expansion including but not limited to single use technology vendor selection, component introduction and qualification. You gain experience in investigations, batch releases and trend report writing.
- During the Project Engineering Rotation, you will learn how to provide project engineering support to a variety of site engineering projects and deliver quality projects safely, on time and within budget.
- During the Validation rotation you will be involved in the validation of new equipment, systems and processes at Sanofi and will learn all aspects of the validation life cycle. You will learn how to generate validation documentation, preparation and execution of qualification study protocols, preparation and execution of qualification study reports, Complete Validation Lifecycle documentation and ensure projects and associated qualification / validation activities are completed in compliance with all required Sanofi and Regulatory requirements (Health & Safety, cGMP, Construction, Environmental etc.)
- Graduated in the past two years or due to graduate in 2026.
- A minimum 2.1 Primary Degree or Masters in Engineering.

Responsibilities
- Apply best practice of safe systems in a busy production environment.
- Problem solving and continuous improvement: Work as part of a broader production/process team and utilising team based problem solving employing lean / 6 sigma techniques through the Glanbia Performance System (GPS), our platform for enterprise excellence. The tools, techniques, culture and 'can do' approach will be a defining feature of your programme.
- Utilities: Working with our utility plants, water treatment, boilers, effluent, refrigeration, compressed air and site service functions including the co-ordination of utility plant requirements with maintenance and engineering.
- Data analysis: Trending and analysis of plant performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance and calibration systems allowing for continuous improvement on key metrics
- Maintenance: Working closely with mechanical and electrical crafts, applying sound technical solutions to resolve problems relating to plant efficiencies and to drive continuous improvement; supporting and maintaining preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance programmes; and delivering planned maintenance schedules in line with production related requirements.
Quality: Working in conjunction with the quality department to produce product in full compliance with our HACCP program. Ensuring that all the plant procedures, documentation and cleanliness are audit ready 365 days per year.
Capital expenditure projects: Working with engineering, leadership and other key stakeholders to input into project scoping, design, installation through to commissioning.
- Process engineering and projects engineering: Project management, design, proposal and implementation with responsibility for individual engineering related projects, working with colleagues internally and externally contracted
Requirements
- High academic record to date in the following fields of study: Engineering (Mechanical, Automation, Process, Chemical, Electrical, Environmental) or related discipline; and expected minimum of a 2.2 honours primary degree

The purpose of the role is to support the management with operations of various Renewable energy assets, Wind, Solar Biomass and Battery Storage projects. Liaise with the trading team on day to day operations and manage the Health and Safety systems to ensure that maintenance activities are carried out in the same manner. As part of the program you complete a rotation with the trading team to learn how the assets interface with the electricity market.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Actively attend and participate in team site meetings to ensure work is planned and delivered on-time, on budget and in line with statutory Health and Safety requirements.
- Development of engineering and optioneering processes to improve or enhance Power Plant operations.
- Prepare preliminary technical reports on plant KPIs, carry out root case analysis and reporting on plant outages and performance.
- Monitor, analyse and report on all elements of plant operations in order to identify plant and process improvements. Liaise with the RE trading team in order ensure efficient communication between operations and trading.
- All employees are expected to co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health, Safety and Welfare of themselves, fellow employees and members of the public. Identify, understand and apply all Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements as a fundamental element of any construction design or undertaking ensuring safety of employees and members of the public during construction, testing, commissioning and operation.
- Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's, objectives.
The Person
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:
- Completed Apprenticeship, Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Automation disciplines.
- The candidate should possess basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical or automation practices, principles, theories and concepts.
- Excellent technical report writing and communications skills essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to scrupulously review technical designs and documentation.
- Experienced in AutoCAD or other Similar technical design software would be an advantage.
- No prior industry experience essential. Experience with Electrical, Mechanical or Automation disciplines desirable. Internship in a similar role would be an advantage.
