About The Role
As a Mixed Signal Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mixed-signal integrated circuits, including ADCs, DACs, PLLs, and power management blocks. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver robust mixed-signal solutions while growing your technical expertise. This role requires a good foundation in both analog and digital domains, with the ability to integrate these technologies to create high-performance semiconductor solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Circuit Design & Development: Design and develop mixed-signal ICs including power management ICs, ADCs, DACs, and PLLs while working under moderate guidance
- Verification & Testing: Perform schematic design, verification, and lab characterization of ICs to ensure they meet required specifications
- Simulation & Analysis: Conduct simulations for performance requirements, noise analysis, timing requirements, and power optimization
- Integration: Integrate analog and digital IP to ensure robust performance across various operating conditions
- Test Planning: Develop and execute test plans for block-level and system-level verification
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for designs, specifications, and test results

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead two multi-disciplinary feature teams delivering NewsWhip's ambitious AI roadmap. As a key member of our product delivery team, you'll work closely with Product and UX leaders to shape and execute our AI strategy while managing diverse engineering teams that bring innovative solutions to life.
Responsibilities:
Product & Strategy Leadership
- Partner deeply with Product and UX leads as part of the core product delivery triad (Design, PM, Engineering) working together to explore opportunities
- Actively contribute to product strategy and roadmap planning, providing technical perspective and feasibility assessment
- Drive feature definition and scope through close collaboration with Product Management and UX Design
- Balance customer needs, technical constraints, and business goals to make informed product decisions
- Proactively identify and communicate emerging AI technology opportunities that align with business goals and customer needs, helping shape the product vision through technical innovation
- Facilitate discovery sessions and technical spikes to validate approaches and identify risks early
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor two cross-functional engineering teams (~8/9 engineers) across Backend, Frontend, Data Platform, and DS/ML disciplines
- Foster a collaborative environment where Engineering, Product, and UX work seamlessly together
- Drive engineering excellence while ensuring alignment with product goals and timelines
- Manage team performance, career development, and growth
- Own team metrics, capacity planning, and resource allocation
- Ensure delivery plans, team structure, and engineering outputs consistently align with business objectives and product goals, maintaining focus on measurable customer and business impact
Requirements:
- 5+ years of engineering experience with 2+ years in engineering management
- Strong track record of partnership with Product Management and UX teams
- Experience leading product discovery and solution design processes
- Proven ability to influence product strategy through technical leadership
- Strong technical background with experience in either Backend Development, Data Engineering, or Machine Learning
- Experience managing diverse technical teams and coordinating cross-functional initiatives
- Understanding of modern AI/ML technologies, cloud platforms, and software architecture
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with agile methodologies and modern software development practices
- Proven ability to mentor and develop engineering talent
Technical expertise in several of:
- Large Language Models and their APIs
- Vector databases (ChromaDB, Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)
- Embedding models and similarity search
- RAG architectures
- Prompt engineering and management
- AI evaluation and testing frameworks
- LLMOps tools and practices
Nice to have:
- Experience with AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.)
- Background in media analytics or content intelligence
- Knowledge of semantic search and content retrieval
- Experience with real-time AI systems
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
- Previous startup or high-growth company experience

Engineering Manager
to lead a Mechanical Design team and oversee the delivery of complex, high-value engineering projects. Based full-time on site, this role is central to driving project execution, enhancing design productivity, and ensuring engineering outputs meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Orientation
- Translate customer requirements into clear operational and engineering plans.

Project & Program Management
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of multiple engineering projects, ensuring scope, budget, quality, and timelines are consistently met.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality teams to align technical deliverables with project milestones.
- Manage evolving customer requirements without compromising quality or timelines.
- Align engineering, delivery, and support functions under unified project goals.

Strategic Thinking & Execution
- Apply commercial awareness of business models, margins, and customer value to engineering delivery.
- Ensure day-to-day operations are aligned with broader business and client strategy
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10+ years' experience in mechanical design within a fast-paced, project-based engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in leading teams and delivering technical projects in a manufacturing or equipment fabrication setting.
- Strong understanding of design for GMP environments, ideally within pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD systems (e.g., SolidEdge, SolidWorks) and engineering documentation.
- Demonstrated leadership, project coordination, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a structured and proactive approach to problem-solving.
