Navigating Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate internal and external risk factors, escalating and informing relevant stakeholders about risk events while resolving issues independently when appropriate.
- Act as a communications hub for the crisis and incident response team, coordinating with external risk management partners and providing initial emergency response support, including communications centralization and reporting.
- Provide High-Risk Country Travel Advisories and conduct intelligence assessments for regional special events as necessary.
- Monitor real-time data and news for actionable intelligence impacting our clients assets, including severe weather, civil unrest, protests, and traffic disruptions, while researching emerging threats in the Europe and MENA region.
- Oversee traveller accountability and provide credentialing support for EMEA offices, ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel during incidents.
- Monitor CCTV and access control systems for alerts across nine regional offices.
Essential Qualifications
- 1-3 years of proven experience in security analysis, risk management, crisis response, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with a good investigative mindset and the ability to assess and prioritize risks.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities, coupled with a sense of urgency and reactiveness in high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), researching and report writing.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with travel safety protocols and risk assessment methodologies.
Desirable Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong skills in document creation, communication, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle security-related ServiceNow tickets from start to finish, including investigation and resolution.
- Process vendor remote access requests, prepare them for security review, and support the access setup steps.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of security awareness training, including assisting in the planning and analysis of phishing test campaigns.
- Write and maintain knowledge base articles on security topics to support internal awareness and documentation.
- Oversee and support the management of third-party patching processes to ensure timely and secure updates.
- Participate in incident response activities, including investigation and documentation.

Ergo is seeking an IT Security Specialist for an exciting opportunity with a well-known client in Galway . The IT Security Specialist will be a hands-on Engineer responsible for Security risk assessment, management and mitigation in relation to network, cloud, server and information environments.
Experience in IT Auditing, vulnerability assessments and gap analysis as per ISO27001 and NIS2 are also preferred.
This is a permanent role requiring one or two days per week onsite.
What will you do?
- Implement and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures (ISO27001, NIS2).
