PM Group now has an opportunity for Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to work on-site (hybrid) with a one of our clients, they are based in Newbridge, Kildare.
Responsibilities Lead the full EIA process, delivering EIAR and AA/NIS for large-scale renewable energy projects Provide environmental planning expertise to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and policy Keep updated on environmental legislation and planning developments at local and national level Support stakeholder engagement and consultations with local communities, statutory and non-statutory bodies Prepare technical scopes for third-party services and assist with procurement processes Champion health, safety, and environmental best practices across all projects.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous professional development within the team Collaborate with colleagues across Planning, Engineering and Senior Management to meet strategic business goals Qualifications Level 8 Honours Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline 5 years' plus relevant experience Understanding of Irish planning law and environmental regulations Strong communication skills and experience in dealing with internal (company teams and management) and external parties (industries, communities and regulatory agencies) Why PM Group? This hiring manager within the regualted space is open to background once you have relevant Irish experince.
Compliance & Regulation Ensure compliance with local, national, and international EHS regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, HSA, ISO standards, GMP requirements).
Maintain and update EHS policies, procedures, and documentation to meet regulatory and corporate requirements.
Health & Safety Management Conduct risk assessments, HAZOPs, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).
Provide training, guidance, and coaching to employees on EHS policies, safe work practices, and emergency procedures.
Monitor and report on safety performance metrics (KPIs, LTIs, near misses).
Environmental Management Oversee waste management, emissions monitoring, water/energy conservation, and sustainability initiatives.
Support ISO 14001 certification/maintenance and environmental audits.
Drive projects to reduce the site's environmental footprint.
Pharma/GMP Integration Ensure EHS requirements are embedded within GMP manufacturing processes.
Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to ensure safety in facility design, new product introductions, and process changes.
Support validation and qualification activities from an EHS perspective.
Audits & Inspections Prepare for and support internal, corporate, and regulatory audits/inspections.
Lead site EHS inspections and follow up on action items.
Emergency Preparedness Maintain site emergency response plans, procedures, and training.
Participate in emergency drills and crisis management teams.
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.

+ Ensure client compliance with relevant environmental legislation, best practice, and BAT standards.
**Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration**
+ Support clients in regulator and stakeholder engagement.
+ Work collaboratively with EHS colleagues and the wider Environment team to deliver robust assessments.
**Environmental Auditing**
+ Carry out environmental audits, including assessments of legal compliance.
