Job Summary
Working under close supervision, performs a variety of simple to routine assignments by following detailed work instruction that requires limited judgment and decision-making to complete.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Performs feeder maintenance, repair and data tracking.
  • Train employees in operation and maintenance of machinery.
  • May train and coordinate activities of MA.

May provide assistance in the following areas:

  • Troubleshoot to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Dismantle, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manual, rough sketches or drawings.
  • Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.

Job Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

We are currently recruiting an Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical support to the maintenance, operations and project departments on equipment maintenance and reliability matters for pharmaceutical client in Cork. The Maintenance Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor day to day performance of systems. Troubleshooting of performance trends. Anticipating, solving or escalating problems as appropriate.
  • Perform maintenance and improvement work on all equipment in order to enable full operations schedule adherence.
  • Support the Preventative Maintenance program by carrying out effective maintenance routines and repairs to prolong the useful life and optimise the efficiency of equipment.
  • Support of new product introductions and introduction of new equipment
  • Responsible and accountable for the safe accomplishment of activities to all statutory, environmental, regulatory (cGMP), corporate site and department practices and procedures.
  • Inputting into equipment design, construction, commissioning and qualification activities.
  • Providing technical assistance to maintenance personnel and other departments as required.
  • Developing maintenance procedures and equipment files. Assisting with generation, review and revision of maintenance documentation as necessary.
  • Developing and managing the critical equipment list.
  • Analyzing equipment data to report on equipment performance.
  • Developing, Standardising and Implementing the latest maintenance approaches and techniques
  • Developing a root cause failure analysis system.
  • Engineering out re-occuring equipment problems.
  • Supporting investigation and resolution of problems.
  • Be familiar with daily activities in all areas of Maintenance department.
  • Deputize for Maintenance Manager as necessary.
  • Rotate with other positions in the department, as required.
  • Facilitate an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Lead investigations in work area as necessary.
  • Interface with Manufacturing department (Supervisor, Manager and Director level).
  • Contact with Quality, Logistics and Training departments

Qualifications

  • A Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Process Engineering.
  • Reliability and/or Maintenance experience within a process or pharmaceutical cGMP regulated environment.
  • Experience of best practices in preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, maintenance planning, reliability engineering, RCM or FMECA.
  • Experience of Delta V, PLC, SCADA and SAP systems
