**Deviations are reported to the immediate supervisor.**
**Yields are being monitored versus goals & timely corrective actions are being taken.**
**Machine downtime is being actioned in a timely fashion.**
**Achieve the desired level of competency as per the relevant training plan.**
**Ensure that all batch packaging records are completed accurately in a timely manner.**
**Ensure that quantities of good & rejects are accurately recorded.**
**Ensure excellence in Housekeeping and that cleaning logbooks, LUMAC logs and other production-floor logs are completed and kept up to date.**
**Work positively with all Team Leaders, Engineers and Packaging Manager at all times.**
**Ensure safe work practices are being followed at all times and report any defects immediately to the Safety Officer / Packaging Manager.**
**This role demands flexibility to changes in shift patterns at short notice.**

**Major Responsibilities**
Responsible for compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
+ Assembles, repairs, inspects and/or tests products following written instructions. Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and other work related documents, written in English.
+ Sets up and operates a variety of manufacturing machines or equipment following written instructions in the English language.
+ Cleans tools and equipment per documented procedures.
+ Records information on approved documents.
+ Disposes hazardous waste material on corresponding hazardous waste areas.
+ Resolves problems and make routine recommendations.
+ Trains other employees when necessary.
+ Maintains all position certifications up to date as required to remain in compliance.
+ Completes daily work to meet established schedule with guidance from supervisor on prioritization of tasks.
+ Maintains confidentiality in handling sensitive information or documents.
**Education & Competencies**
+ Leaving Certificate or a pass rating in an Aptitude Test selected by Abbott Vascular
+ Relevant work experience advantageous but not essential or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
+ Excellent communication / interpersonal skills.
+ Enthusiastic and energetic with the ability to integrate quickly into a team environment.
+ Demonstrated flexible and innovative approach to work.
+ Cognitive Skills Performs routine tasks working from detailed writtenor verbalinstructions.Assignments require limited judgement introubleshootingproven processes.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator in a busy packaging centre based in Carrigtwohill, Cork. We have a position available in the Corrugated section at present. This role requires experience with working with machinery including maintenance and troubleshooting where necessary. Monday to Thursday - finishing 4.00pm, Friday - Rate of Pay €14.10 per hour, overtime for first 4 hours paid at time and a half and any over time after that paid at double time * Machines: Operating, Programming, Setting Up machines as necessary to fulfil the production function in the relevant area. Ensure all safety policies and procedure, guidelines, training guidelines are strictly adhered to when working on the machines. Report any fault, defect, safety hazard immediately to your Team Leader/Supervisor and discontinue use of the machine/tooling/equipment. Key responsibilities in this job are as follows Machine operating, maintenance and safety Assembly, cutting, housekeeping Keeping standards of quality to a high degree Improving and innovating on a regular basis Team work and timekeeping are a key part of this job
