What Is The Role
Customer Financial Planning is a large and growing division of AIB and a key strategic area for development over the coming years. This is an opportunity to join a nationwide network of 135 advisors across AIB. The role requires the individual to potentially cover multiple branches in the geography.

The role holder is expected to have a strong understanding of all Financial Planning products and a moderate knowledge of other AIB product lines. The role holder will have a proven track record in building relationships both with customers and stakeholders to generate referrals and converting referrals to meetings.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide complex advice to customers the Banks affluent customer base covering all their financial needs in the areas of Protection, Investment, Savings and Pensions.
  • Working with regional and local management, support, enable and ensure the achievement of the Bank's Customer Financial Planning business and financial goals.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of affluent clients to grow/retain assets under management and generate wealth income through the provision of bespoke financial planning advice for personal and business customers.
  • Support the development of key staff in assigned Business Centres/Branches in building skills and expertise in identifying and engaging customers with financial planning needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues across multiple channels to ensure that the Customer Financial Planning business is appropriately positioned.

What you Will Bring;

  • Fully QFA qualified
  • Preferably holder of the CFP (certified financial planning) designation or willingness to undertake upon appointment.
  • Demonstrable experience in and knowledge of the Financial Planning Advice and Industry

What you will do

This role will be based within the Finance team of the Shared Services Centre, reporting to the Financial Controller. The role holder will be responsible for the general accounting on a day-to-day basis e.g. UK GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP reporting for certain legal entities. They will also be responsible for updating, reviewing, and reconciling the general ledger and the review and analysis of the results of those entities. The role holder will ensure that intercompany and third-party invoicing is completed in a timely manner and monitor the collection of receipts.

The role holder is also responsible for the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and will be a key participant in the annual audit process and assist with internal audit related matters for those entities as needed. F&S Analyst

We are looking for forward-thinking, goal-oriented individuals that will succeed in a fast-paced environment and thrive in building and improving processes that will allow the company to scale with growth. This role primary responsibilities will be in expense and headcount management, month-end/quarter-end management reporting with stakeholders globally, partnering across F&S, Finance Data Office, and Controllership.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain and update financial models to support key business decisions
  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting
  • Conduct variance analysis for month-end and quarter-end financial close.
  • Analyse historical and current financial data for trends, run-rates, opportunities and risks
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to gather data for insights and accuracy
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting process by working across stakeholders.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve existing financial processes, reporting and data collection methods.
  • Leverage across software, platforms and tools to simplify and automate current reporting and tasks.
  • Document financial procedures and best practices to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer.

Technical Skills:

  • University Degree in Finance, or relevant disciplines.
  • At least 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in an FP&A, Finance & Strategy, Accounting function of a multinational entity.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel, Hyperion, Smartview and Google Suite. Experience with SQL and snowflake a plus.
  • Data extraction, analysis and presentation; Tableau or other data visualization a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of successful and quantifiable process improvement projects.

Job Description

Key accountabilities:

  • Provides financial analyses related to budgets, forecasting, allocation of expenses, ad hoc analysis for business case development and custom financial analyses, peer group analysis and internal consulting for all levels of management.
  • Develops and maintains spreadsheets and statistical models for financial analysis.
  • Prepares a variety of management presentations.
  • Researches and resolves problems and errors in data from financial reporting systems.
  • May provide assistance in the development of financial applications.
  • May prepare interest rate pricing and forecasting information for use in asset and liability management.
  • Financial and statistical data developed is used by management in policy setting and decision making.

Skills & experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically three or more years of related experience
  • Working knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures
  • Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills
  • Thorough knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting, and planning
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
  • Strong technical skills related to data mining and visualization tools
  • Master's degree preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Forecasting – Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across business units.
