The Role

Proofpoint is seeking an Instructional Designer, Learning & Development within our HR organization, to create and deliver engaging, effective, and scalable learning solutions that support People and Culture initiatives and employee development programs. This role focuses on designing programs and resources that enhance leadership capabilities, career development, talent management, and organizational effectiveness, rather than technical product training.

This position requires flexibility to work across time zones and collaborate with stakeholders in EMEA and the Americas. The ideal candidate will have strong instructional design expertise and the ability to align learning solutions with business and talent development goals.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Design and develop a variety of learning materials, including e-learning courses, instructor-led training, virtual training, job aids, and performance support tools.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to assess training needs, gather content, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop scripts, storyboards, and prototypes, leveraging modern instructional design principles (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).

What You Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in instructional design or e-learning development, preferably in a global or cross-cultural environment.
  • Proficiency in e-learning development tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or Vyond.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and SCORM/AICC standards.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and time zones.

Position Overview
This multidisciplinary role combines a deep understanding of the AEC Industry and expertise in multimedia content production to create on-demand learning and help content that enhances knowledge acquisition and skill development for our users. As a Learning Content Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing Forma's approach to on-demand learning as well as producing compelling content. You will collaborate closely with other Forma teams such as UX Content Strategy, Product Development and Marketing as well as other customer learning teams and third-party providers to translate Forma's concepts and workflows into captivating assets to amplify across learning and support platforms. The Learning Content Specialist role will be part of the Autodesk Forma Growth Team in the Unified Design Organisation. You will be part of a global team but working predominantly with team members in Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Refine Forma's approach to on-demand learning: Take responsibility for developing a scalable and holistic approach to on-demand learning for Forma
  • Design and develop Forma learning & help content: Produce engaging content such as workflows guides, video tutorials, help articles and webinars to assist users in using Autodesk Forma effectively
  • Manage and maintain Forma learning content: Plan and execute revision schedules ensuring content is up to date and consistent across the different learning channels throughout Autodesk
  • Analyse & identify user learning needs: Leverage usage data, customer feedback and input from Growth team members to pinpoint user's learning needs and identify appropriate topics and formats to continuously improve the user's learning experience
  • Monitor performance of learning content: such as usage, completion, satisfaction, and other critical learning and translate into strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to unify and amplify learning assets: Collaborate with UX Content Strategy, Product Development, Marketing, Customer Learning and third-party teams to develop content that contributes to broader learning initiatives, product feature launches and even marketing campaigns

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the AEC industry, preferably in architecture or urban planning
  • Proven track record in content creation, user training, technical marketing, or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong sense of aesthetics and visual design skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to build strong relationships and manage multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment, using various asynchronous collaboration tools
  • Highly self-driven and motivated with an experiment mindset
  • Strives to use new ways of working and AI tools to improve efficiency and scale impact
  • Nice to haves: Familiarity with Autodesk products, video recording and editing skills
  • Able to travel internationally several times a year

Job Responsibilities
  • Complete an Annual frontline Learning & Development needs analysis based on but not limited to the Avoca Talent Score card data, annual engagement survey results & the annual Avoca HR People Strategy.
  • Develop and communicate the agreed annual frontline Learning & Development plan to all stakeholders.
  • Deliver training programs/initiatives specific to business needs and client expectations.
  • Support in the delivery of an engaging 'Warm Welcome to Avoca' induction and onboarding across the Avoca business, part of which will be co-ordinating the 'new starters 'monthly Mill Heritage visit.
  • Create and deliver training to elevate the overall customer experience & journey, ensuring consistent seamless service and exceptional standards across all locations.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to design and delivery Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all hospitality & production colleagues adhere to our stringent hygiene, and safety regulations, whilst delivering consistent quality across the board.
  • Support where required in the development, design and delivery of Aramark (parent company) learning and development initiatives.
  • Ensure all stores, Central Distribution Centre (CST), Central Bakery & Kitchen Production Unit (CBK), Avoca Mill & Head office have sufficient 'Train the Trainers' to support in the role out of training during each colleague's employment lifecycle.
  • Create a centre of learning & development excellence store.
  • Ensure where required 'refresher training' is designed and delivered.
  • Ensure the business is 100% compliant for all mandatory and compliance training e.g. Health & Safety, Business Conduct Policy (BCP) with the relevant stakeholders to safeguard our colleagues and customers.
  • Responsible for the creation and management of monthly dashboards for tracking and reporting purposes, to be shared with the senior business leaders regarding all learning activities.
  • Create interactive and visually appealing training content, including but not limited to graphics, animations, videos, live demonstrations.
  • Ensure all training is delivered within agreed timelines, and of high-quality standard.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all learning experiences delivered using agreed metrics and methodologies e.g. customer feedback, mystery shopper results, etc. to continually refine and continuously enhance the customer experience.
  • Talent Development
  • In conjunction with the relevant stakeholders create & deliver development programs to ensure there's continuous development for frontline colleagues.
  • Promote a collaborative environment during the learning experience to enhance colleague knowledge, understanding and engagement.
  • Identify external Apprenticeship programs or other accredited programmes that would be of benefit to Avoca and co-ordinate the nomination and attendance of Avoca colleagues in line with budget constraints.
  • Identify with relevant stakeholders where no external apprenticeships are available could an internal apprenticeship be created and delivered.
  • Co-ordinate the attendance of Avoca colleagues to relevant Aramark programs e.g. Make Your Mark etc.
Qualifications
  • Qualifications & experience relating to learning or instructional design & delivery circa 5+ years.
  • Experience of creating and delivering training using blended methodology, including digital, virtual and in person.
  • Operational experience in Hospitality / Retail.
  • Ability to work with and internal and external stakeholders to delivery all identified needs.
  • Ability to work under pressure with agility and resilience at pace.
  • Demonstrate outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Build rapport with all stakeholders.
  • Worked with authoring tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Work independently and as part of a team; use own initiative.

We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development professional to lead a small team and drive the design and delivery of development programmes in a corporate environment.
