We currently recruiting a F&B Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage team at Carton House.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all guests are greeted in a warm and courteous fashion and tended to in a professional manner.
  • Ensure stock control is implemented and maintained.
  • Represent Carton House's passion for customer service, proactively ensuring each guest has the memorable experience expected at Carton House.
  • Be familiar with product offering (i.e. the menu, specials and ingredients, etc)
  • Familiarize yourself with sales and promotional activity and up sell at every possible opportunity.
  • Carry out cash handling procedures in accordance with Company policy.
  • Breakfast team supervision under the guide of food and beverage management
  • Motivate and assist the breakfast team to ensure departmental targets are met.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A real understanding of hotel food and beverage operation.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills with excellent spoken & written English.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within a 4/5* property.
  • A structured and organized approach to work planning.

Person Specification Minimum 35 years of experience in a senior F&B management role within a hotel or high-volume venue or private members club environment. Holds a valid EU passport or Irish work permit Demonstrate a strong leadership presence and take a proactive hands-on role in order to identify and support colleagues on all levels Good knowledge of food, wines, pairings, wine cellar management and service etiquette Excellent understanding of financials, stock management, and GP control Professional, polished communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve challenges effectively. Be fluent in spoken and written English Computer literacy. Working week is 5 days over 7. The position will require a mixture of day, evening, lates and some weekend work. This is deemed a part of the industry and the nature of the role. Time in lieu will be provided in place of overtime.
