About the Role

Role Responsibilities:

  • Keep abreast with internal IT systems and documentation requirements, standards (including quality management and IT security), regulatory environments / requirements (if applicable), DDIT Service Portfolio and with industry best practices in leveraging technologies for the business and taking advantage of reusable products, solutions, and services wherever applicable. Additional specification required for testing.
  • Develop project rationale and perform scoping assessments to determine feasibility of projects. Highlight/identify gaps in existing functionality and review requirements with stakeholders.
  • Develop a comprehensive requirement specification that will determine the estimate of cost, time and resources to deploy solutions. Develop project estimates and complete financial model (costs, savings, revenue opportunities, investment horizon, etc.). Role Requirements:

  • University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, Life Sciences or similar
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in working in the Pharma or IT Industry with 8+ years of experience in the Lab IT domain
  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience as a business analyst/process expert/ business IT lead superuser/Lab data or Digital position
  • Expert understanding of business process analysis & design and system architecture concepts.
  • Expert understanding of the Lab business processes, drug development experience an advantage
  • Expert knowledge of GXP, 21CFR Part 11 and the CSV lifecycle
  • Expert knowledge of Lab systems including LIMS systems, and Chromatography systems.
  • Ability to solve complex business process / information challenges.
  • Proficient skills in global teams, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, working in a matrix environment and conflict resolution.

Work with Process Development team and Production teams to complete transfer to production and pre-production planning. Work with the PM to define, plan, track and report on Product Development projects; this should include use of Work Breakdown Structures, Project Plans, Costing etc. (for smaller program the engineering lead may be the PM). Lead development of project proposals outlining cost, schedule, risk etc. & liaise with customers to present and review proposals to secure project sale. Work with Quality team to evaluate product non-conformances to assist in root cause analysis and recommend design modifications if appropriate. Education & Experience Required : Minimum 5 years experience in product development for medical devices, ideally in highly regulated Class III devices. Demonstrated understanding of various types of manufacturing, mechanisms, materials, tolerance-analysis and design-for-manufacturing is required. Mechanical Design experience required. Highly experienced in product specification design; translation of design inputs to engineering outputs, tolerance stack up analysis, as well as product testing; limit challenge testing, test method development, test method validation etc. Experience of working under medical device design controls, with proven knowledge of design verification/validation and design/process FMEAs is required. Experience of medical device regulations including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), QSR (Quality Systems Regulations) and ISO quality requirements is required. Experienced in Risk Management for medical devices and associated documentation processes. Excellent problem solving, decision making, and root cause analysis skills are required. Experience designing for manufacturability particularly for plastics, and experience with related supplier management. Highly experienced in project management, from conception to delivery; strong initiative and follow through in executing project responsibilities, overcoming obstacles and balancing multiple priorities effectively through strong technical and/or project leadership experience is required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; the ability to effectively communicate concepts, ideas and knowledge to all levels of the organisation is required. Experience in team management and a demonstrated track-record of being part of successful cross-functional product development teams is required. Key Responsibilities and Duties: This role will involve being part of the New Product team based in Dublin and dealing daily with our office in China. You will be involved in all aspects of new product development for our range of lighting products. You will work closely with our manufacturers and our quality control, technical, marketing and sales teams in China, Australia, UK and Europe to ensure that we supply high-quality products to our customers. Training will be provided on all aspects of the role to ensure a smoot integration into the team. Key Responsibilities & Duties: Assist in the management of all product development projects, constantly striving to push projects through the development process within agreed deadlines Collaborate with QC and Technical teams in Dublin to gather feedback Daily communication with colleagues in China to update and follow up actions. Management and review of product technical data ensuring accuracy and consistency. Review product designs and provide suggested improvements. Assist in management of product samples, ordering, reviewing, cataloguing. Collate and cross reference new product information supplied by QC and NPD China. Complete comparison sheets and make suggestions based on evaluation of data. Produce sales analysis reports showing results of worldwide product launches. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing departments in producing catalogues and promotional materials to support launches of our products worldwide Evaluate the department's processes, suggest improvements, and develop strategies. Key Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Product Design, Engineering, Purchasing, Product Development, Project Mgmt. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, outlook and word is essential. Highly organised with proven project management skills Task focused with a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving. A high level of accuracy and attention to detailare essential.
