As the Business Development Manager, you will report to the Area Director of Sales. You will effectively guide and manage hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strategic growth, and high-performance standards while fostering a positive work environment and driving financial will work as part of a great Sales Team loooking after our hotels in the Galway Area area; namely Clayton Hotel Galway, Maldron Hotel Sandy Road and Maldron Hotel Oranmore. Collaborate with the ADOS and ensure that objectives are achieved in the Sales business plan. Represent the hotels at sales team meetings, internal & external customer led events as appropriate. Adoption of all available tools to support efficient ways of working including CRM, BI Tool, Market Intelligence Tools and Solver. Customer Facing - Owned Segments Execute a proactive sales plan to develop and nurture new accounts across all owned segments for the hotels. Identification and management of new opportunities in your market in line with hotels strategy and across the wider Dalata portfolio. Collaborate with Account Management Team to nurture existing, and secure new opportunities following the Dalata sales process. Instil a culture of cross selling, referrals and sharing of leads. Strategic approach for key segments of owned segments and identify opportunities to drive revenue and reduce costs. To participate fully in all sales activities including telesales, sales calls, corporate entertaining, fam trips, social events, and overseas sales trips, as necessary. Planning & Forecasting Collaborate with ADOS on rate strategy, budget planning, forecasting for owned segments and identifying & analysing opportunities to ensure they fit with the hotels business strategy. Undertake monthly corporate tracking of corporate accounts in the hotels to monitor production and more importantly to identify any decreases and take necessary action to remedy. Collaborate with ADOS on the analysis of GDS production reports & market intelligence information to develop new leads from this business channel for the hotels. Timely production of monthly & ad hoc reports. Execute actions from quarterly sales activity plans to support business needs. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a similar position in hotels Effective communicator Be commercially aware with strong analytical skills and understand & identify business trends Excellent organisation and planning skills Sales focused and results driven Strong negotiating skills Ability to develop and build long lasting relationships through account management, and promote cross selling into Dalata hotel group Experience of working with global clients & agencies Knowledge of the Galway market is desirable About Us Dalata Hotel Group - We bring the heart of hospitality to every hotel we own and operate.
