We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Developer to join our IBM MQ Software as a Service development team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for building, testing and maintaining a SaaS service on a variety of hyperscalers. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud technologies such as container orchestration, continuous integration, and deployment. You will be responsible for delivering new features into the service, maintaining and enhancing our continuous integration and deployment pipelines, and ensuring the smooth operation of our services. The MQ SaaS team employs agile development practices with all team members actively engaged in the planning, development, testing and usability related tasks owned and delivered by their 'Delivery Team'. **Your role and responsibilities**
Successful candidates will have strong coding skills and a desire to learn full stack development, including but not limited to Feature Development, Testing and Customer Support. * A strong understanding of cloud technologies including networking and security
* A strong technical background in using development tools such as Git, VS Code, make etc.
* Strong analytical and problem solving expertise, with the ability to investigate issues and apply fixes throughout the development lifecycle.
* Experience in applying Cloud Engineering practices to enable Continuous Delivery.
* Ability to take ownership of tasks, proactively driving them to their completion.
