Background:
At Cuirt Na Coiribe student accommodation in Galway, managed by Mezzino Student Living we are now hiring for a Building Maintenance Manager.
Main responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Residence Manager and company Facilities Manager, this is a very hands-on role for an all-round 'handy person'. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the overall safety, presentation and good repair of the premises and all residents during their working hours.
Duties will include:
- Providing General Maintenance within the building and its grounds
- To notify the General Manager should a maintenance problem require further attention and/or external contractors
- Ensure that a safe and secure environment for residents, staff and visitors is maintained;
- Undertake and complete weekly/monthly compliance tasks and record the results on our online system
- Ensuring that all resident requests are dealt with in a professional and efficient manner
- Ensuring the public areas are kept clean & tidy
- Undertaking all tasks allocated by the General Manager, the front desk team and company Facilities manager
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a maintenance department or working as a general handyperson
- High personal standards
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate with both co-workers and our (mostly) young adult customers in a professional manner
- Knowledge of maintenance trade(s) (e.g. basic carpentry, plumbing, electrics, painting) would be essential
- Flexibility to work weekends over the summer period

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maintenance Technician located primarily in Dublin. With our primary warehouse located in Dublin 24, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing regular equipment maintenance, troubleshooting issues, conducting preventive maintenance, cleaning units, refreshing and installing vinyl wraps and installing units on-site in all weather conditions. While located primarily in the greater Dublin area, we have customers throughout Ireland & you will have to travel around the country regularly.
The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail-oriented, customer driven, be able to work independently and off their own initiative, be tool-savvy, able to manage multiple facets of warehouse and maintenance operations simultaneously and be able to present themselves and the company well when meeting with our customers. You will need to be a skilled multitasker. As an area technician you must perform your daily assigned tasks, achieve regular inventory accuracy, track spare parts and track our inventory. You will be a team player, willing to assist your Team Members and ensure Customer Satisfaction at all times.
