Amazon is looking for a results-oriented individual to join the AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET). In this role, the candidate will play a key role in ensuring power is available to support AWS's business growth across Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). The successful candidate will develop the mechanisms, processes, tools & dashboards that provide leadership and cross-functional teams (Energy, Legal, Finance, Supply Strategy, Real Estate and Capacity Delivery) with information on status, issues, risks, expenditure etc. across a portfolio of infrastructure power delivery projects. The candidate will standardize processes and develop tools that support consistently high standards in programme, budget and contract management.

We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Key job responsibilities
Single point of contact for grid connection applications and agreements, tracking status and contractual terms compliance
Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Supply Strategy, Real Estate and Capacity Delivery) on the day-to-day programme management and reporting across the portfolio of infrastructure power delivery projects
Enable effective decision making by managing and aggregating datasets and key performance indicators from multiple sources to provide a single source of truth on status, cost, capacity, key dates, and contractual terms management across a portfolio of infrastructure power delivery projects
Support technical due diligence assessments on power connection options, to asses costs, timelines and key risks for proposed data centre sites
Develop and oversee the implementation of continual process improvement initiatives related to operational efficiency team effectiveness and new value add activities
Facilitate internal and external meetings by managing agendas, facilitating scheduling, owning meeting minutes, and follow through on action items
Support management of Master Service Agreements, Work Orders and other contractual documents relating to projects
Coordinate and report on capex/programme implications
Design and develop automated reporting solutions
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering
3+ years relevant experience
Strong organization, communication & analytical skills
Ability to build strong working relationships, both internally and externally
Ability to self-start and self-motivate in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree (Engineering preferred)
PMP Certification, or equivalent Project Management training and experience
Experience engaging with or working for electricity utilities / energy regulators
Experience in prospecting for, applying for or analysing options for high-voltage (HV) / medium-voltage (MV) power connections for new demand or generation proposals
Experience designing or constructing HV / MV substations or other energy infrastructure
Experience with IT infrastructure, data centers and cloud services

The Role:
The successful candidate will join a dynamic and highly regarded team, advising on a diverse range renewable energy and infrastructure projects. Throughout this role, the candidate will have opportunities to work high-profile and complex projects, including offshore wind projects, onshore wind and solar projects, thermal generation projects, and datacentres.
The candidate will take on a varied range of challenging duties, supporting clients on investment, financing, and joint ventures within the Energy and Infrastructure sector. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to contribute to business development while managing client relationships.
Essential Criteria:
- 1-4 PQE;
- Strong background in energy, renewables, construction, or financial transactions within a large international or City firm. Experience in two or more highly advantageous;
- Demonstrable commercial awareness;
- Outstanding academics;
- Technically excellent;
- Negotiation skills;
- Willingness to become involved in business development;
