To support its growth plans the company is seeking to appoint a Head of Human Resources to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes and to play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting its people strategy.
THE ROLE The Head of Human Resources will work closely with the Clancy senior leadership team to oversee a wide spectrum of responsibilities supporting essential organisational functions at both strategic and operational levels.
This position may be located at any of Clancys offices in Thurles, Dublin, or Corkand is tasked with ensuring that HR policies, programmes, and practices are aligned with business objectives while promoting a positive, productive, and supportive workplace culture.
THE PERSON The ideal candidate for this position will have significant Human Resource Management experience (7-10 years) across a broad HR remit including recruitment, training, annual staff appraisals, performance reviews, employee relations, talent management, wellness initiatives, and managing payroll queries.
You will possess a relevant third level qualification with strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR compliance.
Previous experience within the construction sector or a related area is highly desirable.

As the group prepares for continued growth and investment in Ireland and UK, Glennon Brothers is seeking to appoint a Group Head of HR, as part of the senior leadership team.
Role Reporting directly to the joint Managing Directors,this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a dynamicleadership team in the development and execution of the strategy to grow the business.
This person will be responsible for the people agenda across our business and the development of HR team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the Glennon Brothers people strategy and as a member of the Senior Leadership team, this person will play a pivotal role in realising the vision of the organisation and providing HR guidance and direction on how to achieve the goal and key milestones along the journey.
Key responsibilities include: Deliver and develop the HR Strategy in line with company goals and objectives across all business locations.
The achievement of results is key and to be delivered through Management by Objectives.
Work closely with the key business stakeholders to further implement the HR standard across the business in order to deliver a uniformed approach to HR and the people agenda in areas such as talent acquisition, talent management, succession planning and performance management.
Provide leadership and own the ER/IR across the business and drive the relationship with union representatives in the delivery of key objectives such as pay negotiations and other organisational changes that may arise.
Develop a robust talent development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies including manpower planning, talent development and reward management.
Consult, advise, influence and partner with leadership on talent strategies and actions to build an engaged and high-performing business.
Participate in the interview/selection of talent in assigned roles and perform compensation analysis to drive competitive offers Identify training needs for by site/function and team development/coaching needs and participate in evaluation and monitoring of training and coaching to ensure success and return on investment.
Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of HR professionals to ensure the HR strategy is implemented effectively, within budgets, and complies with all regulations, laws and employment standards.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate needs to be a resourceful, results-driven individual with a strong sense of urgency who can build trusted relationships and understands the importance of delivering on the people agenda the successful candidate should have: Business degree or relevant equivalent qualification is an advantage, A minimum of 10 years experience in leading and managing a HR function in a Senior HR Leadership role.
Proven experience in managing multi sites and multi unions.
Proven successful project management skills.
Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and human resources systems Excellent facilitation, problem-solving, coaching and critical thinking skills.
and presentation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including influencing, consultative, and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.
Demonstrate strong leadership and team development.

There is a requirement to frequently travel to the across Ireland and the UK as part of this role.

THE POSITION The Interim Head of Human Resources will report directly to the Chief Executive and sit on the senior management team, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship across multiple teams.
They will address day-to-day HR challenges and advance the organisation's people agenda, with a focus on industrial relations, organisational development, and cultural transformation during a period of change.
