Purpose of the Role The Health Care Assistant (HCA) will assist with the delivery of patient care under the supervision and direction of Nursing or other Professional Staff. The post holder will assist the nursing team with the day to day running of the allocated ward. Confidentiality must be maintained for all patients at all times. The Health Care Assistant will work closely with parents in providing care. This role will also involve general maintenance and decontamination of equipment, stock take and ordering, cleaning, ensuring that all stock isstored away, set up of bed spaces for admissions and assisting with the discharge of patients and assisting with patient care.
