Contact Garyon or to discuss About the Role: This role is based in the growing Structural Heart Department of our Galway based client. 39 hour work week with a 1pm Friday finish. Excellent salary and defined career progression offered for candidates wanting to secure a Senior role. Key Experience: Electrical circuit design and PCB layout. Experience in micro-electronics - manufacturing / design in a regulated industry preferred. medical device ideally but flexible. experience in design/manufacture of micro-electronics desirable - regulated industry preferred. Good knowledge in micro bonding (Epoxy & Solder). Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Electrical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and fix electrical issues. product testing and design Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Conduct testing and validation to ensure safety and performance. Job Title:Equipment Maintenance Technician - Evening Shift - Galway Permanent role with Full company benefits package Department:Engineering Reporting to:Manufacturing Engineer Shift:EveningShift 15:30pm 12:00am (Monday Thursday) and 14:15pm 20:15pm (Friday)39 hours weekly General Description Exciting opportunity for an equipment minded candidate to join a medical device company on a permanent basis. working on production line equipment - attending breakdowns, troubleshooting issues and fault finding of mechanical equipment, the technician will be responsible for keeping the machine in good working order carrying out repairs and maintenance when needed. Roles and Responsibilities: Take ownership and responsibility for the technical performance/reliability of equipment to target zero downtime in the technicians area relating to equipment fault through proactive equipment management. A continuous improvement mindset is a must and always working towards this goal in a structured manner. Constantly evaluate equipment and process inputs/outputs to ensure optimal visual and functional product performance and take action before it impacts on uptime or yield. Complete PMs on time and offer improvements when found deficient, to ensure optimal equipment performance at all times. Identify requirements for jigs/fixtures to improve work station efficiency or yield improvement and carry through into manufacturing through the approval process, with supporting data on the potential gains to be achieved. Ensure tooling including mandrels/trim fixtures etc. are available to the line when required and are in optimal working order and fit for purpose. Ensure and maintain a sufficient Kanban and robust process for consumable equipment spares in CER to minimise downtime. Support onboarding of new technician hires when required. Be fully competent in manufacturing product through all work steps and in identifying Accept and Reject samples for all steps. Understand the intended use of product and the impact of defects to functionality of product. Perform functional testing of product where required. Continually review the manufacturing process for improper application of work methods and equipment settings. Communicate promptly, clearly and effectively at all times, to the Line Lead and Line Support Technician with regard to equipment and process issues with a clear plan for resolution that is data driven. Support for equipment introduction in CERs and completing and maintaining accurate up-to-date documentation (EIQs, PMs, etc). Qualifications and Job Requirements: Requires a Level 6 degree or above in Engineering or equivalent (preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering). 3- 5+ years experience in a technical role in a similar field is required, demonstrated experience with automated equipment maintenance is an advantage. Ability to troubleshoot complex machine faults through experience with electrical and pneumatic systems. Highly motivated with good initiative and strong work ethic. Demonstrated process and continuous improvement mindset. Excellent time management, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
