You would be working at our site based on the Castlereagh Road, Belfast. Working as part of a small team on a rotational days (7am to 3.30pm) and lates (1.00 to 9.30pm) shifts across Monday to Friday with some Sunday working. You would carry out the safe and efficient inspection, service and repair of all vehicles, trailers and ancillary equipment in line with agreed schedules and operating procedures. Work with Vehicle Maintenance Unit shift Co-ordinator / Front Line Manager and Logistics team to ensure vehicle availability in accordance with delivery schedules. To achieve shift Key Performance Indicators by working in an efficient and effective manner. To comply with laid down safety procedures, highlighting any non compliance issues to the Vehicle Maintenance Unit Co-ordinator / Front Line Manager. To ensure the effective use of resources available to carry out specific tasks or duties. To ensure that vehicles and other fleet assets are maintained in accordance with Company and VOSA standards. Assist the Vehicle Maintenance Unit Co-ordinator / Front Line Manager to liaise with the Transport and Logistics departments about vehicle availability. To work flexibly in carrying out any other Vehicle Maintenance Unit duties, as required. The Right Person Essential Good interpersonal and communications skills. City and Guilds HGV or LGV Qualification or NVQ Level 3 HGV or LGV Qualification. Category C licence essential (C+E desirable). Ability to work rotational shifts (early morning & late evening shifts) with rotational Sunday working included. Desirable Previous experienced gained in a HGV fleet maintenance operation.
