About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced
HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Advisor
to join our team on a 6-month contract for the mechanical installation phase of a large-scale solar farm project. The role is based
full-time on-site
and will play a key part in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting operational teams throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor day-to-day site activities to ensure compliance with HSE standards, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments specific to mechanical installations (e.g., racking systems, trackers, module mounting)
  • Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and ongoing HSE training to site personnel
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, and support implementation of corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and HSE reporting
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to foster a proactive HSE culture

Job Overview

In this role, you will play a crucial part in implementing and championing the HSE Management Programme, fostering a strong safety culture aligned with Britvic's core values. Job Description
The HSE Lead is responsible for advising on overall compliance in matters of HSE in accordance with the Contracting Entity's policy and relevant statutory provisions. The role holder must lead by example and serve as a role model in mobilising all project contractors and ensuring the highest standards of HSE are adopted throughout the programme.

  • Support the Head of Health and Safety in the development and implementation a credible HSE Management System for the Contracting Entity's Infrastructure Department, including but not limited to KPIs, dashboards, procedures, best practices, lessons learned and reporting systems / applications, which align to the Contracting Entity's company policies, procedures and legal requirements
  • Provide appropriate level of oversight of the management of HSE impact within the Programmes
  • Develop and deliver HSE induction to staff and sub- contractors.
  • Conduct site audits, site inspections, task inspections, environmental audits
  • Review PSDP, PSCS project documentation – Preliminary plans, Construction stage plans, Emergency plans, Risk Assessment Method Statements, Temporary Works and Lift Plans.
  • Attend co-ordination meetings, site set up meetings, project status meetings
  • Assist with implementing ISO standards and ensuring these standards are maintained
  • Review and update SOP's, construction site permits and safe plan of actions
  • Enforce preventative measures, review control measures, amend where required
  • Ensure that record of statutory inspections is kept for all projects.
  • Manage the Permission to Work (P2W) system, review all submitted documents before permission to work is granted
  • Review relevant information in safety files for handover to the Contracting Entity at the end of the project.
  • Incident investigation oversight to ensure lessons-learned are implemented.
  • Report on HSE performance of the programme using suitable key performance indicators
  • Keep relevant teams and individuals within the programme appraised of any proposed change in legislation that may impact on their business and advise of the implications.
  • Establish, drive and implement best practice in relation to HSSE across the programme
  • Provide expert advice, assistance and support to the Programme teams on HSE requirements.
  • Ensure the HSE management systems, processes and tools are fit for purpose and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the development of processes that enable safety, and occupational health risks to be identified and mitigated – including those associated with organisational and operational change.
  • Ensure that there are effective processes for the recording, reporting and investigation of accidents and incidents in order to develop a culture where lessons are learned and drive risk reduction.
  • Maintain theoretical and practical competence in the field of HSE management, including the application of relevant legislation and industry requirements

Qualifications

  • 10 years+ experience in HSE across major infrastructure and engineering projects particularly in the aviation industry
  • Previous experience managing HSE on site.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining HSE Management Systems, Safe T Cert, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with contract documents, forms of contract and specifications will be advantageous
  • Excellent written communications and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Team player, self-motivated and able to work using his/her own initiative
  • Excellent organisational skills with a positive, can-do flexible work attitude
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and handle conflicting priorities
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, excel, AutoCAD, MS Project Primavera

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to oversee and support the implementation of Health and Safety, (HSEQ) standards during the construction of a large-scale Solar Farm project in Ireland. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all site operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Irish legislation and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor the company's Health & Safety policies, procedures, and statutory requirements on site.
  • Develop, review, and approve Risk Assessments (RAs) and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure they are practical, project-specific, and compliant with legal and best-practice standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to promote a positive safety culture and identify potential hazards.
  • Support site management and contractors in implementing control measures and corrective actions following incidents, near-misses, or audit findings.
  • Maintain detailed safety records, reports, and documentation as required under Irish H&S legislation.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure all site personnel understand and comply with safety requirements.
  • Coordinate induction and ongoing training for site workers and visitors.
  • Participate in safety meetings, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Keep up to date with Irish Health & Safety legislation, codes of practice, and renewable energy sector standards.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience as a Health & Safety Officer (preferably in construction, industrial engineering, or renewable energy projects).
  • Proven experience in the creation, review, and implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Recent experience working on Irish or EU construction sites (within the last 3 years).
  • Recognised H&S qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent (NFQ Level 7 or higher preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and familiarity with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act and Construction Regulations.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Developing and administering procedures to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislative requirements and corporate Environmental and Health & Safety policy;

Requirements:

  • Minimum level 7 degree or higher diploma in H&S
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a customer service driven environment
  • Experience working with management systems i.e. ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO9001
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative, with problem solving skills and be innovative
  • Membership of IOSH (or working towards) or equivalent

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced
HSE Adviser

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide competent HSE advice to operational teams across Enerveo's projects and contracts.

Essential Requirements

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety.

  • Working knowledge of UK HSE legislation, CDM regulations, and ISO management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Enerveo sites.

We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental professional to support our exciting transmission and distribution projects. We are currently delivering a large package of electrical work on a windfarm project near Kilkenny City. This role will be based full-time on the project until June 2026 (expected), with other projects planned around the Munster region after this. STS Group is fully committed to the highest Health, Safety and Environmental practices, this position will play an essential role for our business.

The Opportunity

This is a full-time permanent position. The successful candidate will work closely with our site management teams to ensure a positive and well-informed EHS culture flourishes. Key to this role will be identifying all EHS risks and ensuring the best prevention and mitigation controls are in place across the projects.

Here are some of the duties involved:

The Expert – Conducting regular site audits and assessments, following up on corrective actions and becoming the go-to for all things Health, Safety, and Environmental.

Sharing and Reporting – Development of project specific HSE documents in conjunction with the project management team (HSE Plans, RAMS, Aspects & Impacts Register etc).

Meeting the Highest Standards – Ensuring our sites are compliant to all relevant HSE legislation, and adherent to our HSEQ Management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 &

Team Collaboration – Proactively work with site management teams, subcontractors, and clients to promote the project EHS requirements.

Promoting "STS Mission Zero" – Making sure company inductions, site orientations and training are delivered in a timely manner.

Who We're Looking For

Relevant third level qualifications and training in Environmental, Health & Safety.

Good knowledge of current HSE related legislation & regulations.

Excellent IT skills, the ability to learn new systems with ease.

A self-starter and capable of working on your own initiative.

Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

High Proficiency in English language (written & spoken).

Desirable but not Essential

Prior experience on construction projects, ideally within the power / renewables sector.
