Job Description
• The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining, optimising, and troubleshooting Mechanical units to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety regulations.
• HVAC System Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on all HVAC plant, plantroom equipment and associated controls.
• Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify and resolve system issues promptly, utilising diagnostic tools to maintain optimal functioning and minimise downtime.
• Optimisation and Upgrades: Assess and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and performance of HVAC systems, recommending upgrades or modifications as needed for improved performance.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to schedule and execute HVAC maintenance tasks efficiently, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations during maintenance activities, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved in HVAC system maintenance.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, component replacements and recommendations for improvements.
Skills and Requirements
• Time served HVAC Technician, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Engineer or Plumber/Pipefitter with HVAC experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
• Thorough understanding of various types of air conditioning systems, components, and associated controls, along with demonstrated expertise in maintenance and repair techniques.
• Proficiency in diagnosing HVAC system issues and executing preventive maintenance following manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
• Experience with advanced HVAC technologies, smart controls, and energy-efficient solutions desirable.
• Valid/Full clean drivers licence.

How You Will Do It
You will conduct installation & commissioning of split & multi type Air-Conditioning systems across the retail, commercial & pharmaceutical sectors.
As an Installation Technician you will need to provide up to date site surveys, records and commissioning reports with regard to works completed and actions needed to aid quoting of new or replacement equipment.
You should be capable of working as a part of a team and contribute towards its success also by liaising with site contacts and other contractors. You enjoy taking responsibility for the development & progression of associates under your supervision.
