As a Control Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the long-term integrity, reliability, and performance of high-risk operational assets and new-build projects.   • Familiarity with Control Systems, Safety Systems, Instrumentation, Electrical Switchgear and Generators.
  • A high level of computer proficiency is required.
  • Full Clean Irish Driving License.

This position provides services for planning and the execution of central automated regression runs for all product departments. In addition, this candidate is responsible for maintaining and expanding the labs which host both automated and manual testing as well as conducting staging and certification of the product media during the ship-stage of a release.

Responsibilities
Financial services industry experience is preferred.

  • Work closely with the scrum master, product owner, architect, business analysts, product specialists, developers and other project team members to assist in carrying out the software quality responsibilities of the Scrum team
  • Create comprehensive test automation scripts from business requirements and functional specifications documents for product features of moderate complexity
  • Execute manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests
  • Maintain automated and manual test script libraries for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
  • Align with the Software Development Life Cycle practices, comply with Information Security and Data Governance practices
  • Interpret results of automation tests and document software defects in issue tracking system; proactively communicate issues with developers and other project team members
  • Provide testing leadership by identifying opportunities for improvement in the Scrum team's QA methodology, innovate by researching and recommending new approaches to automation of testing, including use of Artificial Intelligence
  • Adhere to a testing schedule to ensure efficient and effective product delivery
  • Actively participate in the agile software development process by adhering to the CRD Scrum methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
  • Participate in "testathon" activities as required by releases
  • Guide and mentor junior staff in proper creation of automated test scripts.

Qualifications
Education:
B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study or Business with an MIS background. MS degree strongly preferred.

Experience

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in software testing in a process driven technology environment
  • Demonstrated experience programming with C#, SQL and shell scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash
  • Demonstrated experience implementing automation tests with Silk4Net strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and executing automation test scripts against web, native/desktop applications, APIs and batch applications.
  • Demonstrated experience using test cases, scripts, and automated test tools for verifying requirements on multi-tier applications
  • Demonstrated ability translating business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical test plans
  • Knowledgeable in one or more CRD functional areas strongly desired
  • A minimum of 3 years working with an Agile development methodology strongly desired
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Employees are expected to work from the office 2 days a week.

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Siemens S7 PLC controllers, WinCC Unified HMI Scada, Validation

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with local site project teams to scope changes on the PLC system
  • Maintain Inventory and control upgrades to PLC/SCADA systems
  • Follow the SDLC Procedure to implement changes (covering RS updates, RTM Change control, Implementation, and test)
  • SDLC common tasks but not limited to:
  • To prepare and approve Quality assurance plans and close out reports
  • To partner with local site project teams to scope changes and prep relevant documentation
  • In protocol generation, execution, and approval
  • In the review and approval of automation documents

Core Competencies (Technical):

  • Candidates with experience on Siemens S7 PLC controllers, WinCC Unified HMI Scada and commissioning/qualification would be ideal.
  • It's a mid-level position – primarily working as a technical analyst with strong CSV experience
