**Job Summary:** Senior Lead, Risk Management and Controls will be responsible for identifying relevant, regulated accounts and onboarding them to our regulatory compliance program. This role involves participating and coordinating governance activities across first, second, and third lines of defense functions ensuring an integrated approach to compliance. Additionally, the role includes performing regular reviews and controls assessments to identify improvements and track progress as well as playing a key role in regulator examinations. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in risk management, communication and IT security control frameworks.
**Key Responsibilities** **:**
+ Account Identification: Identify relevant, regulated customers, using automation where possible, and provide guidance to those account teams in the onboarding process.
+ Governance: Establish, participate and coordinate governance activities across first (Delivery/Accounts), Second (Security Assurance, Business Controls), and Third (Corporate Audit) lines of defense driving alignment and establishing best practices.
+ Reviews and Controls Assessments: Perform regular reviews of governance/risk activities (MSAC, QCM, SOC) as well as ICT security controls assessments. Design improvements where appropriate and track implementation.
+ Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
+ ICT Security Controls: Leverage knowledge of ICT security control frameworks to enhance security measures on regulated accounts and infrastructure.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders (BC, CAS, CISO, S&R, Delivery) on cohesive risk management practices.
+ Reporting: Develop, prepare and present appropriate compliance metrics and reporting to senior management and exam teams.

Qualifications/Skills:
+ Strong understanding of ICT security control frameworks (NIST; ISO 27002)
+ Excellent analytical, and communication skills.
+ 7+ years experience with corporate governance and related activities.
+ Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Certifications/experience:
+ Project Management Professional (PMP)

The Portfolio Risk Management Team forms an integral part of both the delivery of our commercial strategy and the holistic management of our customer bases. Reporting to the EVP Portfolio Risk Management and located in Dublin, the position of AVP Portfolio Risk Management is a key member of the Portfolio Risk Management team. The Portfolio Risk Management team manage portfolio risk including credit, asset and market risk analysis and restructuring activities. The team drive commercial decision making, including investment in aircraft assets and everchanging appropriate allocation of the portfolio based on our specialist understanding of our global customer base and the aviation industry. This ensures that SMBC AC has a balanced view of the risks which are an inherent aspect of the industry and ensures efficient approvals of customer transactions and resolution to any customer issues in an appropriate and timely manner.

This position requires a self-starter, with the ability to use their own initiative. It will suit a candidate who has previous experience and proven ability of working in an autonomous manner. The AVP Portfolio Risk Management will be supporting senior team members to develop and improve portfolio risk management activities of our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the management and monitoring or airlines and aviation environment in the Europe and Africa region, delivering insights on both the general market dynamic and on specific airline issues.

Portfolio Management: Collaborate with the deal team to structure transactions that enhance risk-adjusted profitability.

Customer Monitoring: Continuously monitor the creditworthiness of existing Europe and Africa customers, ensuring timely identification of potential risks.

Annual Credit Reviews: Conduct comprehensive annual credit reviews for Europe and Africa clients, updating credit grades and assessments to reflect current financial conditions.

Credit Assessment: Evaluate the creditworthiness of prospective clients, assigning appropriate credit grades and providing informed credit views to support strategic business decisions as part of the deal team.

Risk Management: Identify high-risk clients and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks, including leading collection efforts for assigned delinquent accounts within the Europe and Africa region.

Documentation and Reporting: Prepare high-quality approval papers and credit memos. Ensure that all analysis papers are accurately prepared and distributed to SMBC AC and relevant shareholders as required.

Data Management: Assist in compilation and analysis of multi metric data sets to allow better decision making by SMBC AC.

Qualifications & Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in the aviation sector, particularly in risk management for aircraft lessors.

Solid understanding of the airline and aircraft leasing industries.

Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail; organized and dependable.

Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, results-oriented global environment, demonstrating initiative while also collaborating effectively within a team.

Experience or strong willingness to learn programming languages geared towards financial modelling and data analysis, such as Python (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib) or SQL.

Interest in emerging technologies and their potential applications in aviation finance and portfolio risk management.

Key job responsibilities
- Define organizational level IH risk assessment methodology and IH risk tolerances for the region.
- Responsible to develop and implement new strategic and programmatic controls for existing or emerging complex IH risks, including but not limited to: Air Contaminants, Biological (Legionella in Cooling Systems), Chemical, Physical (Noise, Ionizing & Non-Ionizing, Temperature), Psychosocial and Indoor Air Quality.
- Engage cross organizationally with leadership and front-line teams to design IH program controls and testing strategy.
- Earn trust of senior leadership by proactively engaging to understand the business, identify emerging risks, and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Provide day to day support as an EHS Team member fostering safety and occupational health awareness on site and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Provide day to day support for Occupational Health, safety and environmental department including database entry, metrics management, equipment calibrations, 5s, co-ordination of site occupational health and safety communication processes, site recognition processes and co-ordination of occupational health, safety and environmental related training activities.
+ Support implementation of continuous improvement actions that align with strategic focus and audit readiness.
+ Support standard work activities ensuring continuous compliance to Corporate and technical standard requirements.Identify and manage improvement activities as required.
+ Act as Abbott Clonmel representative at Abbott Ireland wellness forums.Oversee management and execution of wellness events on site including external reporting requirements.
+ Oversee and improve occupational health initiatives on site including the development of a framework for occupational health standard activities, the site ergonomic stretch programme, the site gym and fitness programme and the annual flu vaccination programme.
+ Co-ordinate environmental monitoring in line with the site monitoring plan.
+ Leverage technical expertise to collaborate with functional support teams providing advice and consultation on all occupational health, safety and environmental elements.
+ Support completion of area risk assessments in line with the site risk reduction programme.
**EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES**
+ National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline. Relevant work experience advantageous but not essential or an equivalent combination of education and workexperience.
+ Working knowledge and application of business concepts, procedures and practices. Will perform this job in a quality system environment.Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
+ Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. **Abbott Ireland Nutrition Division Cootehill Cavan**
Abbott Nutrition produces a range of infant formulae in all pack sizes under the brand name "Similac". To complement the range of "Similac" infant formulae, the facility also manufactures a range of follow-on formulae under the brand name of "Gain". The essential ingredient is liquid skim-milk and this is combined with carbohydrate, vegetable oils, vitamins and minerals. The product is blended, pasteurised, dried and packaged at the site and once packaged, is distributed to Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Canada.
Established in 1975, Abbott Nutrition in Ireland is the largest powder manufacturing facility for the production of infant formulae within the Abbott Corporation worldwide. Approximately 1,000 dairy farms in Ireland and Northern Ireland supply quality milk to the Cootehill facility which processes 500,000 litres per day. This secure supply together with Ireland's reputation as a green, clean environment is of significant strategic importance to Abbott Nutrition.
**Primary Function I Goals / Objectives**
- The Food Safety Specialist has the responsibility for reviewing all SOP's for any job task he/she may carry out and ensure he/she fully understands and adheres to the SOP.
- The Food Safety Specialist provides guidance and direction of plant sanitation for manufacturing operations, warehouse and plant grounds.
- The purpose of the job is to implement food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance policies, procedures and training.
- This Job function will change where update procedures to GMP, EHS, Technical/ New Equipment, Quality Procedures & SOP's are made.
- This list of responsibilities may change depending on plant needs and employees are expected to be adaptable and flexible were this need arises.
**Major Responsibilities**
The role of the Food Safety Specialist is part of the site's success and compliance by:
- Driving and implementing holistic plant sanitation programs, policies and procedures for plant, warehouse and plant grounds; Assuring compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and all food safety policies and procedures
- Acting as sanitation support in the process of assessing and mitigating safety risk associated with construction and major maintenance.
- Collaborate/Coordinate with Facility Supervisor, Operations Leadership, Operations Associates and Site Cleaning staff to achieve desired Environmental Monitoring performance and Pest Control performance
- Evaluating facility sanitary conditions, assessing risk based on food safety and public health principles, prioritizing corrective actions, and verifying sanitation activities and validation testing
- Evaluating monthly environmental samples for monitoring of pathogenic organisms in plant, trending the results and developing corrective actions
- Conformance to master cleaning schedule and applicable cGMP guidelines, best practices and requirements.
- Assist in developing and implementing all sanitation related training for sanitation and plant employees as needed;
- Ensures all safety requirements related to sanitation are met including proper
chemical storage, MSDS, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and procedures.
- Maintaining and writing detailed clean up procedures and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures for all plant equipment, driving towards reduced water and air usage.
**Education & Experience**
You will have BSc a in plant quality/food safety/Sanitation with a minimum of 3yrs experience in a similar role with demonstrated Leadership skills (direct or cross functionally leadership skills)
Certification as a Sanitarian and Pesticide Application is an advantage for this role
**Key Skills:**
- Understanding and application of microbiological principles with in depth food borne pathogen knowledge.
- Knowledge of HACCP, Sanitation principles and Food Safety Preventive Controls (FSPC)
- Understanding of the appropriate wet cleaning and dry cleaning methodology.
- Experience in successfully addressing environmental sanitation challenges in areas such as drains, floors, walls, roofs, and equipment.
- Proven leadership capabilities

- Process control knowledge
- Proven plant financial understanding
- Experience with working on Continuous Improvement Projects

**Accountability / Scope**
- The Food Safety Specialist works under the direct supervision of the Food Safety Manager. Position assists and with all phases of sanitation, pest control, microbiological and cleaning programs for the site. The decision-making process of this position is key to the ongoing compliance of the production operation, and to the quality and safety of the food products.
