**Responsibilities:**
+ Supporting the CEP Data Governance Lead, as directed, to drive CEP data governance adoption priorities.
+ Liaise with partners to lead in establishing, managing and implementing data governance / policy adoption plans, compliance metrics, communications and training.
+ Lead business analysis through collection, analysis, review, documentation and communication of business needs and requirements, to understand requirements and aligning these to Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls standards to drive appropriate solutions.
+ Contribute to the establishment of Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls standards in alignment with Enterprise Chief Data Office/Banking & International Data Team, and ensure proper documentation of processes
+ Support key Data Transformation projects across the organization as data governance subject matter expert.
+ Lead activities to ensure roles and responsibilities related to data are understood and implemented across businesses and functions.
+ Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely execution of milestones, provide reporting of potential risks to delivery, and incorporate milestone reporting and changes.
+ Capture requirements, develops delivery plans and manages the entire lifecycle of metrics and report production.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding CGME, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations (as related to data governance), applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
**Qualifications:**
+ Experience in Banking or Finance industry preferred in a Data Governance/ Data Management/ Process Engineering/change management or related area.
+ Significant banking or financial services experience (10+ years) and front to back product knowledge, ideally from a risk and/or finance business process perspective.
+ Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels.
+ A proven problem solver who is able to collaborate effectively by building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives.
+ Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills across a variety of stakeholders at different levels.
+ Optimizes work processes by balancing effective / efficient processes with a focus on continuous improvement. Demonstrates ability to balance between seeing the "big picture" while paying close attention to detail.
+ Organizational savvy: understands systems, products, front-to-back flows, management processes, knows where to go for information and how to interpret them.
+ Working knowledge of Data Operating Model practices, Data Governance and Data Compliance within large, financial services firms.

**Team / Role Overview**
The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst is responsible for contributing to the directional strategy and assisting in creation and modification of Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy. The focus of this role may be on one or more of the following areas: assisting in identification, measurement and reporting, data policy adoption and compliance, data controls framework performance and issue management process, and regulatory and audit response and action tracking.
This role requires someone who is dynamic, flexible, and can easily respond to quickly changing needs. The candidate must have the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity and be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others.
**What you will do:**
+ Partner with multiple teams to implement relevant Data Governance policies and/or Data Risk and Control framework
+ Provide expertise on Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls framework including design, effectiveness, performance monitoring and self-assessment processes
+ Oversight and analysis of data-related issues, tracking of ownership and target dates and associated metrics and reporting
+ Support and coordinate with business lines and global functions on enterprise Data Governance strategy roll out, including new Data risk taxonomy and associated changes to key risk indicators and control framework
+ Gather and synthesize metrics on existing Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls principles, policies, practices and standards, e.g., understanding industry best practices
+ Produce recommendations for enterprise-wide guiding principles, policies, processes and practices
+ Determine requirements for and prioritize development of new enterprise-wide principles, policies, processes and practices as needed
+ Develop and manage approach for measuring adoption of principles, policies, processes and practices

- Provide guidance to other systems analysts and client personnel assigned to the projects
- Strong technical skills ranging from in depth knowledge of SAP modules, understanding of data governance frameworks, proficiency in data modelling and ETL processes
