**Position Overview**
**Senior Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer**
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our team in Platform Services and Emerging Technology's Developer Enablement DevRel group. The developer enablement organisation's mission within platform services is to provide developers with the tools and support they need to build high-quality applications that meet our requirements.
This includes enabling developers to create, test, and deploy software applications using the Autodesk developer tools. The DevRel team promotes knowledge sharing and collaboration to create a community of enabled developers. It empowers developers to take ownership of their work and contribute to our success.
You will represent developer needs within the APAC/EMEA regions by providing technical support, building and maintaining our developer enablement solutions, and working with partner platform teams to ensure the platform meets their needs. This role is in Ireland. You will report to a Senior Engineering Manager.
**Responsibilities**
- Help application teams standardise the service deployment configuration and process
- Help the application teams accelerate the deployment duration
- Work closely with application teams to get onboarded to internal developer platforms
- Provide technical support to developers who are using platform services
- Assist developers in building and deploying their applications
- Troubleshoot issues and work with development teams to resolve problems
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure the platform meets their needs
- Maintain documentation and training materials for the platform
- Stay up to date with new technologies and trends in the industry
**Minimum Qualifications**
- 5 + years managing resources within cloud computing platforms such as **AWS, GCP or Azure**
- 5+ years of experience automating the software development lifecycle with continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) tools like **Jenkins, CloudBees and Spinnaker**
- Experience with Infrastructure Provisioning and Automation tools like Terraform
- Experience with development, build, and deployment processes for workloads, including serverless, container-based, enterprise, and other application implementations
- Monitoring & Observability: Proficient with Dynatrace (APM) and **SonarQube (code quality)** for monitoring internal developer ecosystem health and metrics
- Artefact repository management tools such as **Artifactory (JFrog), Nexus, or GitHub Packages** are required for maintaining and deploying build artefacts in CI/CD pipelines
- Good hands-on experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker or **Kubernetes**
- Implemented and instrumented observability practices, tooling, and solutions, including **Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Dynatrace and NewRelic**
- Creation of technical documentation in the form of runbooks, notes, and engineering resources
- Good inter-team communication, coordination and collaboration skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience or involvement in open-source software and communities
- Enjoys speaking at conferences and developer communities
- Relevant certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer

**Your profile:**
+ Degree in engineering (automation, robotics, computer science, etc.) or equivalent.
+ Minimum 5 years of work experience in GMP manufacturing, with expertise in automation. A broad understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and regulatory environments is essential. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.
+ Proficiency in automation solutions (Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.). Knowledge of industry standards (GAMP, ANSI/ISA, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11) and GxP/QA. Familiarity with ANSI/ISA-99,100 standards is a plus.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in data analysis.
+ Ability to work in a team-based culture, engaging with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with Global Automation to implement best practices.
+ Contribute to the innovation roadmap and strategic planning. Mentor and train team members to enhance site expertise.
+ High communication skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work under pressure.

**About the Role:**
We're looking for a motivated Automation Engineer with 1.5-2 years of experience to join our team supporting high-tech, automated manufacturing lines for diagnostic products. You'll work alongside experienced engineers to troubleshoot, improve, and support automation systems across multiple sites in Europe.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Support the design, programming, and troubleshooting of automation systems (e.g. PLCs, robotics, vision systems)
+ Assist in maintaining and improving automated production lines (filling, capping, inspection, packaging, etc.)
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, operations, and quality
+ Work with vendors on equipment upgrades and installations
+ Help document and validate automation systems in line with regulatory standards

**What You'll Need:**
+ 18 months to 2 years of hands-on experience in automation or controls engineering
