Job Description

Want to be part of a UK hub, in a global business that is scaling rapidly, evolving fast and radically changing the decades-old delivery universe? If so, read on, as we're looking for a Install Operations Manager to join our Network team

Our mission? To switch up the status quo and become the UK's leading out-of-home business. With a fast-growing network of thousands of smart lockers, hundreds of leading retail partners and the launch of our transformative Send service, we're bringing freedom to anyone with a parcel.

At InPost UK, we're building an unparalleled group of talent that's committed to help us power our mission to reshape the way parcels move, and redefine eCommerce logistics. Our team is packed full of top-notch experts in e-commerce, technology, scale-up growth, sustainability, logistics and supply chain. We're a passionate bunch with high ambition – we collaborate, innovate, support each other, and leave egos at the door.

About The Role
Deployment Operations means versatility, adaptation, and clear decision making in real time. As Install Operations Manager, you and your team will be responsibility for signing off lockers to go live into the delivery network, and their afterlife in extensions, removals, relocations and upgrades. This requires focus on pace and quality, ensuring that lockers are signed off and go live on the network accurately and without delay, but also following up with contractors for revisits and parts as required. It will also require close collaboration with Partnerships, Logistics, Deployment and Network Health, in addition to liaising closely with our contractors.

Reporting to the Deployment Manager, the Install Operations Manager is responsible for owning install operational accountabilities for the Deployment Team. This role will oversee the signing off, go live, extension, relocation, removal and upgrade of our lockers. This involves managing and optimising the processes within deployment, while ensuring lockers are signed off efficiently, safely and within budget. The Install Operations Manager will be responsible for clear performance tracking and identifying risks or opportunities within InPost's deployment plans.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Day to day management of 5 operational specialists in Install Operations and ERU;
  • Delegate workload within the Install Operations and ERU team to ensure capacity for all scopes;
  • Maintain tracking of deployment KPI's, identify and manage blockers to deployment speed and escalate to line manager where necessary;
  • Consistently monitor effectiveness of ways of working;
  • Work cross functionally with internal teams and external contractors to ensure smooth execution of APM deployments;
  • Work closely with both independent and partner network sales teams to maximise sign offs and pace of deployment.
  • Ensuring that operational specialists maintain high standards in accordance with our goal of being network experts.

What We Need From You
We're looking for people who are ready for a fast paced environment, get their kicks out of problem solving and can balance getting today's stuff done, whilst building for the future. We're looking for people with drive and natural curiosity – who want to do things differently. And do them brilliantly.

We'd be particularly excited to hear from you if:

  • Strong, highly engaging people manager who can keep the team focused and motivated;
  • Active listener who quickly establishes trust amongst peers and team members;
  • Foster and maintain accountability for individual and team performance;
  • Focus on customer service, ensure deployments meet business and user requirements.
  • Strong operational or logistics background;
  • Ability to make judgements and decisions while working in a live, fast paced operational environment;
  • Outstanding organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident in voicing opinion and taking initiative to solve challenges or implement change.
  • Strategic thinker who can clearly express challenges and problem solve.
  • Adaptable attitude with ability to react to operational environments.
