You will be responsible for taking designs from concept to the permit and construction document set. What you will be doing:
- Data center electrical designs and collaboration with other disciplines to create a construction document set.
- Participating in site selection reviews and site planning activities
- Critical Data Center equipment design including Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, MV Switchgear, LV Switchgear, MV:LV Transformers, Earthing. Life Safety and Fire Detection systems
- Design and collaborate with other disciplines to create a construction document set.
- Creating of designs which meet or exceed our quality requirements and fall within our budgetary requirements.
- Working with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify the appropriate electrical equipment.
- Working with local utilities to understand and define site utility requirements.
- Working with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with IEC, EU requirements and building codes.
- Reviewing and approval of equipment submittals.
- Defining project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during construction phases.
- Working with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
- Ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
- Traveling to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, as well as provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup as needed.

Basic Qualifications
- Degree in an Electrical Engineering plus a cumulative 6+ years experience with power systems and mission critical electrical design.
- Excellent understanding of the European Electrical Codes coupled with detailed understanding of critical LV, MV and HV electrical equipment.
- Understanding of relays, protections schemes, high-voltage circuit breakers, power and distribution transformers electrical switchgear, grounding and earthing and the ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
- Ability to carry new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment/construction plus the ability to perform complex business case analysis to justify technical decisions and present the justification to management in a high level review.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and experience directly related to data center or mission critical facility design.
- Previous consultant negotiation and management skills associated with design, construction and project managing of fast track design/build projects and or multiple significant upgrade projects.
- Extensive knowledge of building codes and regulations and an ability and willingness to think outside of the box to find creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs with no impact on quality, reliability, or maintainability.

The Senior Automation Engineer provides technical Support in the development of a complex automation system, driving cross functional alignment and ensuring robust, compliant and efficient manufacturing process.
**How you'll make an impact:**
+ Development of bespoke automation solutions based on technology roadmap, with ownership for funding proposals, initial design, development of proof of concept, system testing, solution provider/supplier selection and management, and rollout of automation solution to other sites. Experience in the space of robotics, vision and electrical preferred
These tasks support the design, prototyping, assembly, and development of automation of existing processes and mechanical components.
+ Support the design activities, analysis, modification, and integration of robotics, automation technologies, and processes related to equipment. Ensures applicability to programs and products, handling high complexities
+ Complete proposals for funding of automation solutions for internal and external audiences
+ Collaborate with cross-functional partners to conduct complex technical experiments, research, and design various prototypes to achieve consensus and make informed technical decisions.
+ Lead improvement activities within internal or external teams, or manufacturing processes to drive enhancements and improve efficiency. Utilize metrics to perform continuous improvement.
+ Support the development and influence multiple development teams and various technical domains to support and drive improvements and changes.
+ Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and methodologies to ensure efficiency and quality engineering results.
**What you'll need (Required) :**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Scientific field, and a minimum of 4 years experience working in automation domain (robotics/vision or electrical experience preferred)

+ Whichever applicable, expert skills (with years of proven record) in mechanical design, or programming skills (PLC, Robotics, or vision), or electrical design
+ Demonstrates proficiency in creating excellent technical documentation, white papers, and technical write-ups
+ Ability to translate technical information to all levels of the organizations
+ Capable of delivering effective presentations on complex technical information and project activities
+ Knowledge of applicable FDA regulations for medical device industry is a plus
+ Substantial understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work
+ Extensive knowledge and understanding of principles, statistic, theories, and concepts relevant to Engineering
+ Advanced problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills with proven record
+ Strict attention to detail
+ Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to manage vendors and project stakeholders
+ Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills
+ Must be able to work in a team environment, including frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts
+ Represents organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects

Requirements


• BSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline


• 10+ years of mechanical design experience in a fast-paced, project-based engineering or manufacturing environment is essential with a strong focus on leadership/ managerial experience


• Demonstrated success delivering technical projects in a manufacturing or equipment fabrication environment


• Strong understanding of design for GMP environments, preferably in pharmaceutical or life sciences


• Proficient in 3D CAD systems (e.g., SolidEdge) and engineering documentation


• Strong people leadership, project coordination, and communication skills


• High attention to detail with a structured and proactive approach to problem-solving

The Senior Manager will develop Process automation in providing technical expertise in the design, prototyping, assembly, development, and troubleshooting of innovative automation system in partnership with R&D and NPD groups.   • Manage resource planning, project planning, budgeting, expense priorities, performance management, and working through team managers to achieve results.
  • Identify opportunities for and drive the development and management of multiple, highly complex automated systems that resolve manufacturing and/or product inspection challenges.
  • Provide insight to stakeholders on current automation capabilities to ensure they are reusable in broader initiatives while developing new capabilities.
  • Write and submit successful proposals for automation and digital grant funding to external agencies.

What you will need to have (Required):

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering or related
  • Experience in Automation deployment
  • Track record in management of technical and/or automation disciplines and/or agile methodology
  • Experience working in a regulated industry
