The Fruit People are looking for an Inventory Stock Controller to join our team. Reporting to the Inventory Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the receipting of goods in, management of our stock room, monitoring and maintenance of FEFO, supporting the warehouse team with order fulfilment and ensuring that the stock figures in our ERP system are accurate.
Main duties responsibilities:
- Goods in receipts, ensuring quality checks, inspections, and document in accordance with Food Safety Quality regulations.
- Physically relocate inbound good to the respective area in the warehouse – both ambient chilled ensuring that FEFO is followed.
- Inventory Control – managing inventory of the products, cycle counts and investigate discrepancies if identified.
- Returns Management – both to suppliers and from customers.
- Management recording of obsolescence.
- Supporting the warehouse team in order fulfilment
- Quality checks validations on the products at each stage of the process.
- Working closely with procurement team to ensure that accuracy, quality, and reliability of the products are maintained.
- Ensuring that the stock figures are updated and accurate in the ERP system in a timely manner.
- Training of team members where required on inventory processes and controls.
- Ensuring that stock room is maintained in a clean and orderly manner, and that stock items are reviewed regularly to ensure efficiencies in particular ensuring that fast moving products are strategically located.

Requirements:
- A minimum of one years' experience in Inventory Stock Control in the Food Industry
- Physically fit
- Effective communication skills, including written, speaking and active listening
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision making ability.
- Full clean European Driving Licence and valid Forklift cert is an advantage.

This role will be responsible for the day to day running of maintenance stores that will include the ordering of maintenance parts and maintaining accurately inventory levels.

To maintain all maintenance parts in SAP and to provide timely and accurate information regarding stocks.

To ensure all master data is accurate for maintenance parts i.e. lead times, pricing, minimum order quantity, safety stocks levels etc.
To manage inventory levels in line with agreed targets.
Establishment of Vendor Relationship Management to include vendor visits, monthly vendor performance reports, review meetings, auditing and adherence to standards.
To work closely with the Projects team to ensure adequate spare parts are sourced for key projects.
To develop an in-depth knowledge of the pricing structure for the main maintenance parts.
To ensure that all quality and deliver issues are managed and minimised and to work closely with the Maintenance & Production team to ensure standards are met.
To resolve all invoice queries received from the Finance team in a timely manner.
To report and action all slow moving and/or obsolete maintenance parts.
To assist in ensuring production sites performance targets are reached, by ensuring all maintenance parts are available and meet specifications. Qualifications & skills required.

We wish to recruit a Stock Controller/Inventory Controller who will play a fundamental role in ensuring efficient stock management, maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing replenishment processes, and contributing to the overall operational excellence and customer satisfaction of the organization.
This role will include:
- Ensuring inbound and outbound stock transactions are correctly managed in line with the current Intact IQ standard operation procedures. Maintaining good records of goods in/out.
- Maintaining supplier levels in line with current replenishment levels, reviewing replenishment levels based on seasonality, project demands etc where required.
- Assisting the Group to minimise stock holding while maintaining optimum customer service levels.
- To process continuous cycle counts plus scheduled stock takes to maintain highest accuracy levels with minimum effect to sales or opening times. Liaise with Finance Dept on inventory monthly and annual stats.
- Cycle counts and stock takes will be conducted in line with Company procedures.
- Stock controller will be responsible for the preparation, process & recording of stock takes plus any training requirements. Any additional training will be assisted by Brooks Group to assist the stock controller in their role.
- Deal with customer and supplier queries in relation to delivery and supply, liaise with Credit Control and Accounts Payable on such matters.
- Producing reports on branch inventory statistics, stock loss, branch inventory levels versus expected levels. Highlight unusual movement trends in inventory.
- Monitor slow-moving or obsolete stock, encourage appropriate actions to deal with same.
- To work closely with Intact Systems and Brooks Group IT Dept to maintain and offer improvements to inventory control within the Group.
- To work closely with internal audit team to develop the most cost-effective methods of creating, maintaining and measuring the highest customer service inventory levels.
Criteria:
- Previous experience of working with stock - preferably in a stock controller role
- Excellent teamwork and organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Proficient in the use of IT and have good computer literacy.
- Reliable and punctual
- Attention to detail.
- Be familiar with inventory management systems.
- Ability to maintain and develop good working relationships with suppliers, customers and other team members.

Key Responsibilities
- Goods Inward:
Receive and inspect deliveries of raw materials, consumables and equipment; check quality, condition, and documentation. - Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate stock records within the ERP/stock control system; carry out cycle counts and full stock takes; investigate and resolve discrepancies. - Warehouse Operations:
Organise and optimise storage layouts to ensure safe handling and efficient retrieval of steel, components, and consumables. - Dispatch & Logistics:
Prepare and load finished goods for delivery; coordinate with transport providers; ensure correct documentation accompanies shipments. - Replenishment & Procurement Support:

Skills and Experience (Required)
- 3+ years' experience in warehouse, stores or inventory control (engineering, construction or manufacturing preferred).
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and ERP/stock systems.
- Forklift licence (counterbalance/telehandler or willingness to obtain).
- Proven ability to organise warehouse layout and control material flows.
- Excellent numeracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities; able to liaise effectively with multiple departments.
- Right to work in Ireland.
Desirable
