Responsibilities
Architectural Leadership & Strategy:
Provide clear architectural vision and strategic direction for complex IT systems and applications, ensuring alignment with overall enterprise blueprints and business objectives.
- Develop comprehensive architecture, strategy, planning, and problem-solving solutions at an enterprise level, addressing both current and future state technology needs.
- Drive the technical direction and strategic decisions for the technology function, ensuring long-term scalability, resilience, and maintainability.

Hands-on Technical Contribution & Implementation:
Develop and enforce application methodologies and standards for program analysis, design, testing, and deployment, emphasizing clean code, automation, and robust testing practices.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of supported main system flows and comprehensive understanding of multiple technical areas to achieve technology goals.
Lead by example in adopting and promoting modern architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, cloud-native) and best practices for secure, performant, and reliable software development.
Mentorship & Team Development:
Promote a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning within development teams.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

Interface with vendors to assess emerging technologies and guide product roadmaps based on Citi's requirements.

Qualifications
Experience:
Relevant experience in software development, architecture, and engineering roles, with a significant portion in a lead or senior architect capacity.
- Extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying complex, large-scale software applications.
- Proven experience in systems analysis, programming, and implementation of software applications across diverse technology stacks.
Demonstrated experience in driving engineering excellence initiatives, promoting best practices, and fostering a strong developer culture.
Technical Expertise:
Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Applications Development, with deep expertise in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, Go) and related frameworks.
- Profound understanding of modern architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architectures, cloud-native design), distributed systems, and data management.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), including agile methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing strategies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with real-time data processing tools (e.g., Kafka ), Certification in Snowflake, Oracle databases, or Big Data technologies and Knowledge of NO SQL ( e.g., Mongo ) is a plus.

Role purposeAs part of the Technology Operations function in Flutter Functions, the Head of Architecture will be accountable for the architecture of critical technology operations capabilities, including service delivery frameworks, security architecture principles, and cloud infrastructure strategy. The role holder will lead a team of architects to define the vision, strategy, and roadmaps for the target state technology operations architecture, including implementing the vital processes and mechanisms that will enable alignment to the vision and roadmap.
The role is pivotal to supporting not only Flutter Tech, but will also consult and influence all brands and divisions within the group to align on Technology Operations strategies and architecture. The role holder will need to have strong convictions and opinions on what the right thing to do is for the long term operational excellence of the group, whilst simultaneously being sympathetic and supportive to the short to medium terms needs of other teams, brands, and divisions.
The right candidate will have experience working with large-scale technology operations in enterprise organisations on infrastructure modernisation and security transformation projects. This will have involved a service-obsessed and collaborative approach, coupled with a deep technical understanding of operational frameworks, service management, security principles, and cloud infrastructure to provide confidence and answer questions. An ability to engage and help crystallise operational benefits of architectural decisions, demonstrate deep understanding of cloud solutions and global connectivity, and a passion for operational excellence through secure architectural principles is key.
Accountabilities- Responsible for building and leading an architecture team that will provide Technology Operations services across Flutter Functions

What you bring:

- Deep experience in large-scale Contact Center environments — including IVR, CCaaS, agent desktops, AI-driven self-service, agent assist, workflow automation, workforce management, recording/screen capture, or contact center analytics.
- Hands-on expertise in cloud-native enterprise architecture, especially across AWS and Azure platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills — comfortable working across technical and business leadership levels.

As we are building our Data Strategy and Operations organization as part of our Value Chain Management organization in the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain, we are creating this role as part of our Data Strategy and Operations Leadership Team. The Director Information Architecture leads and is responsible for the information architecture team supporting the supply chain functions.
You will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of information architecture for the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain. You will develop strategies to minimize duplication of information and increase clarity on source of truth across different supply chain functions and systems. Your focus will be end-to-end and span from system specific master data (including supporting workflow capabilities), transactional data and data for analytics and AI. You will collaborate with the functional partners in the supply chain and the J&J Technology partners to design and implement scalable data models that increase value for the business partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement information architecture for Innovative Medicine Supply Chain across Master Data, Transactional data and Data for Analytics
- Develop and implement data platforms and frameworks to maximize re-use and minimize duplication of information across a federated ecosystem
- Design and implement FAIR and trusted data products to increase business outcomes with functional partners and technology partners in JJT.
- As a business leader you will have business ownership across the technology stack supporting data solutions and are tasked to evolve the technology stack together with the J&J Technology technical partners to support future AI applications.
- As a business leader be responsible for the full lifecycle of data platforms in collaboration with the technology leaders to optimize the data solutions landscape, reduce complexity and ensure interoperability.
- As a business leader shape the future state technology stack that maximizes value from data, enables AI applications and provides interoperability with other Innovative Medicine Functions (e.g. R&D, Commercial)
- Collaborate with IMSC Data Governance to design data governance capabilities across Master data, transactional data and Data for Analytics and Data Standards are developed to support the Information Architecture Design
- As part of the Data Strategy and Operations Leadership team shape the Data Strategy of IMSC
Qualifications
Education:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Technology, Computer Science or with a focus on data management/ data science / Analytics / AI / Machine Learning, or equivalent
Required
Experience and Skills:
- 10+years of experience of leading multi-year strategy or technology deployment with focus on information management, data management or data capabilities
- 5+Experience working in a pharmaceutical global supply chain spanning across multiple functions (plan, source, make, deliver and quality)
- Experience with modern data technologies (Workflow capabilities for Master data, Data catalogues, Lakehouse, Ontology management)
- Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g. GxP, GDPR, HIPAA)
- Proven track record to build partnerships to inspire change and deliver results across complex ecosystems.
