As part of the Technology Operations function in Flutter Functions, the Head of Architecture will be accountable for the architecture of critical technology operations capabilities, including service delivery frameworks, security architecture principles, and cloud infrastructure strategy. The role holder will lead a team of architects to define the vision, strategy, and roadmaps for the target state technology operations architecture, including implementing the vital processes and mechanisms that will enable alignment to the vision and roadmap.

The role is pivotal to supporting not only Flutter Tech, but will also consult and influence all brands and divisions within the group to align on Technology Operations strategies and architecture. The role holder will need to have strong convictions and opinions on what the right thing to do is for the long term operational excellence of the group, whilst simultaneously being sympathetic and supportive to the short to medium terms needs of other teams, brands, and divisions.

The right candidate will have experience working with large-scale technology operations in enterprise organisations on infrastructure modernisation and security transformation projects. This will have involved a service-obsessed and collaborative approach, coupled with a deep technical understanding of operational frameworks, service management, security principles, and cloud infrastructure to provide confidence and answer questions. An ability to engage and help crystallise operational benefits of architectural decisions, demonstrate deep understanding of cloud solutions and global connectivity, and a passion for operational excellence through secure architectural principles is key.

• Responsible for building and leading an architecture team that will provide Technology Operations services across Flutter Functions
• Form an integral part of the Group Technology Operations leadership team, formulating architectural strategies and guidelines that empower our operational excellence and security posture

What you'll do:

The Customer Advisory Architecture Advisor (AA) works closely with SAP's Sales organization and the Partner ecosystem to define the account strategy. AAs work with the customer to understand their business and technical needs.

Account Planning & Architecture Management Responsibilities.

What you bring:

• Extensive experience within the SAP eco-system, able to demonstrate a deep understanding of what it takes to successfully transform a business with SAP. Typically with a PreSales or Consulting organization.
• Considerable experience with software/IT organizations as an IT Architect or Enterprise Architect and/or specific expertise with software solutions through Solution Management, Presales, Adoption/Consumption, Consulting or Business Development, demonstrating successful outcomes over multiple years.
• Represent SAP as the trusted advisor within SAP and/or the market.
• Deep knowledge of Cloud, Hosted Services, SaaS/ PaaS models and Cloud-based commerce/ business networks.

You will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of information architecture for the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain. The Digital Customer Success team drives growth for Microsoft by helping customers realize the value of the Microsoft Cloud. Required Qualifications:

Professional:

• Sales and negotiation experience, technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, technical sales experience, or related work or internship experience OR equivalent experience.

Technical

• Experience in one or more of the following: designing architecture, networking, container services, data center migrations or database administration, design and architect experience in data analytics, coding/development, cloud-based solution designs, migrations or management of technology.
• Relevant certifications from Microsoft of competitive platforms of similar product (e.g., AZ104 + AZ 303/304/ or 305, DP 203/204) OR equivalent certifications (AWS, GCP).

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND sales and negotiation experience, technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, technical sales experience, or related work or internship experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluency in Dutch is strongly preferred

• Business Relationship Owner: Build coalition of support (IT and business) with customer. Define specific technology outcomes that align to customer strategy.
• Portfolio Management: Manage a dedicated portfolio of customers while preventing churn and manage their pipeline accordingly.
• Operationally Excellent: Follow processes, systems, and documentation as expected; identifies issues or barriers to efficiency. Recommends improvements and partners to implement Azure solutions.
• Consumption: Conduct analyses into what customers are using versus needs. Drives greater consumption (cloud and support) with customers based on analysis of both usage and needs. Leverages insights to provide guidance and recommendations to customers; drives, retains, and optimizes customer consumption
• Technical Acumen: Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to create a modernization roadmap. Architect solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensuring resources and infusing key Infrastructure technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, while orchestrating key technologies
• Executive Presence: Engage with and influence business and IT decision makers by providing feedback or insights to help customers define and realize their digital and business transformational targets. Influences others to help meet customer needs and prioritize efforts accordingly. Recognizes systemic issues to resolve.
• Technical Leadership: Leverage best practices to guide customer strategy and future growth for Microsoft by cultivating customer affinity with Microsoft programs/solutions that drive impact for the customer and establishing Microsoft as a leader. Provide feedback to Microsoft on customer development needs, customer blockers, or mitigation strategies.

The Head of Application Architecture will lead the strategic direction and governance of Ibec's application landscape, with a primary focus on the selection, integration, and optimisation of third-party vendor packages. This role will ensure the seamless delivery of business solutions, enhance data integrity and information flow, and minimise application sprawl through the adoption of common processes and robust architectural standards.

As a Senior Manager within Ibec, this role includes working with colleagues in the implementation of Ibec's strategic and organisation development initiatives to support the delivery of Ibec's strategy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead the Design Authority

• Chair the Design Authority to define and govern application design principles, architectural standards, and the selection criteria for vendor packages and SaaS solutions.

Strategic Vendor Management

• Drive the strategic selection and implementation of vendor packages, ensuring they align with business needs and the long-term application roadmap.

Integration and Data Optimisation

• Define and oversee application and data integration standards, ensuring that disparate vendor packages and SaaS solutions communicate effectively to enhance information flow, data integrity, and reusability.

Application Sprawl Minimisation

• Actively manage the application portfolio, identifying opportunities for consolidation, reuse, and retirement of redundant or underutilised vendor packages to minimise sprawl and reduce operational complexity.

Architectural Leadership

• Provide expert architectural guidance to business and technical teams on how to best configure and integrate new vendor packages into the existing ecosystem.

Innovation and Improvement

• Identify and evaluate new technologies and features within the existing vendor landscape (SaaS, Cloud, Microsoft) and emerging technologies like AI to drive continuous improvement.

Leadership and Development

• Lead and motivate a team of professionals to achieve strategic technology objectives and activity targets
• Manage individual and team performance, offering coaching and support as needed.
• Act as a role model for team members.
• Support individual and team development.

ABOUT YOU

Previous experience:

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT, with a significant portion of that time spent in a leadership or architectural capacity focused on the selection, integration, and management of vendor packages and SaaS solutions.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in an application or Enterprise Architecture role.

Technical Skills Required:

SaaS and Vendor Integration Expertise

• Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, and the architectural principles required to successfully integrate multiple vendor packages and SaaS solutions.

Architectural Governance

• Proven experience in leading a design authority or similar governance body to define and enforce technical standards, particularly for vendor and package selection.

Business Acumen

• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business needs into effective, standards-based technology solutions using third-party packages.

Problem-Solving

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on resolving architectural challenges related to vendor package interoperability.

Technical Acumen

• A solid understanding of the principles of modern cloud-native architectures (SaaS, Cloud, Microsoft) and emerging technologies like AI.

We are hiring for a
Cybersecurity Architecture Senior Manager
who will be responsible for developing and maintaining the cybersecurity architecture framework that supports the strategic goals of our retail company. This role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing the security architecture to ensure the protection of the company's information assets against cyber threats. This role is based in our Head Office in Dublin city centre, and reports to our Chief Information Security Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture framework that aligns with the company's business objectives and technology strategy.
• Lead the design and implementation of security solutions and controls across all technology layers, including network, cloud, application, and data.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security considerations into the technology architecture and project lifecycles.
• Conduct security architecture reviews and risk assessments for new and existing systems, applications, and technologies.
• Define security standards, guidelines, and best practices for the secure development and deployment of IT systems and applications.
• Lead the cybersecurity architecture team, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to team members.
• Work closely with the cybersecurity operations team to ensure that security architectures are effectively monitored and defended against threats.
• Participate in incident response activities, providing architectural insights and solutions to mitigate and recover from security incidents.
• Manage relationships with vendors and partners to evaluate and select security technologies and services, including negotiating contracts and overseeing service delivery.
• Prepare and manage the cybersecurity architecture budget and resource allocation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in cybersecurity architecture, preferably in the retail sector or a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO and architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA).
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement security solutions across various technology layers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
