Purpose
This role is a key member of the Site Operational Excellence Group, reporting to the Senior Manager of Operational Excellence. The mandate of this group is to enable teams and business functions to improve operations and reduce waste by enhancing reliability and efficiency through the application of Continuous Improvement tools, techniques, and methodologies. The Operations Excellence Specialist will measure performance and identify opportunities to optimize and improve productivity. This role requires in-depth knowledge of continuous improvement tools, techniques, and methodologies, along with practical experience in applying them to improve the performance of processes, equipment, people, and systems. The Operations Excellence Specialist will engage with internal customers to support their efforts in solving complex problems and improving performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis and diagnostics to identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to leadership.
- Coordinate idea generation, project identification, prioritization, and overall selection, ensuring that projects are integrated with business strategies.
- Support the design and delivery of Lean/Six Sigma projects as part of a cross-functional team.
- Identify and justify project financial savings.
- Support teams assigned to implementing the recommendations.
- Design and facilitate workshops and Kaizen events.
- Drive achievement for own projects and projects they are supporting.
- Develop standards (labor/machine) and resource modeling.
- Train all levels of the organization on OE principles and methodologies through our OE Training Program.
- Coach and mentor Project Sponsors, Black Belts/Green Belts candidates on the proper use of tools, improvement processes, and deployment issues.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering plus a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Project Management.
- Experience in manufacturing, technology, and supply chain, with experience in Drug Product manufacturing considered an advantage.
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, cGMP, industry regulations, product development, and commercialization.
- In-depth knowledge of at least one structured problem-solving approach (e.g., A3, DMAIC, 8D, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent (nice to have)
Competencies / Skills:

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director to lead the RHA into its next phase of growth and innovation. Reporting to the Council of the RHA, and working in close collaboration with the Officers of the RHA, and the RHA's Advisory Boards, the Director will provide strategic leadership and collaborate across all facets of the institution, overseeing the gallery's artistic programming, the development of the RHA School, the management of artist studios, the expansion of the education and outreach programme and building management. This role requires a passionate director with a collaborative approach, deep knowledge of contemporary art, good interpersonal skills, fundraising capabilities, and a commitment to fostering artistic excellence and public engagement. The new director will support the RHA in its constant evolution as an inclusive, innovative and ambitious space for artists and audiences.
The normal hours of work will be 35 hours per week and will be set out in the Contract of Employment. Flexibility is required as part of this post and a willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends is essential. Annual Leave will be 25 working days a year. This leave is the basis of a five-day week and is exclusive of the usual public holidays.

About the Employer:
The Office of Public Works (OPW) manages over 2,000 buildings spread over 1,700 properties throughout the country. It has one of the largest and most diverse property portfolios in the State, ranging from important buildings such as Dublin Castle, Garda stations, Government offices, cultural institutions, National Monuments, and specialist buildings like the Forensic Science Ireland Laboratory.
The OPW is responsible for the conservation, restoration, management and presentation of key elements of the National heritage portfolio which encompasses 780 National Monuments, 32 historic properties and circa 5,000 acres of designed landscapes and historic gardens including Dublin Castle, the Phoenix Park, St. Stephen's Green, the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland and the two UNESCO World Heritage sites of Sceilg Mhichíl and Brú na Bóinne.
The OPW is responsible for the strategic and operational management of these internationally and nationally significant state owned properties, conserving a most valuable part of our National heritage and playing a vital role in the Irish tourism economy welcoming a high proportion of domestic and overseas visitors annually.
About the Role:
Reporting to a Principal Officer and through them, to the Assistant Secretary General for Heritage Services and Capital Works Delivery, the Director will have a key leadership role in the OPW's heritage management structure.
They will lead and manage staff (including scientists, gardeners, interpretative guides and administrative staff) across all locations under the Director's responsibility. They will ensure that the gardens are presented to the highest international standards and undertake and supervise research, produce publications and deliver high quality interpretation and education programmes.
About You:
Essential Candidates must have on or before Thursday, 13th November 2025:
A qualification at minimum level 9 (Master's degree) on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) or NARIC Ireland Foreign Qualifications equivalent in Botany or Horticulture. and
A minimum of ten years post qualification experience working in Botany, Horticulture or a similar area.
Candidates must also demonstrate:
Significant senior management experience including a strong track record of leading and managing in a botanical garden or in a similar environment.

- Partner closely with the Ireland Country Technical Delivery Head and their wider team to shape the technology, business, strategic direction and footprint across local client projects

Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or similar or strong relevant work experience
- Hands-on industry visionary, passionate technologist and a senior proven leader, confident in driving a Solution Architecture and Technology Consulting capability within a large consulting organisation
- Proven experience acting in a hands-on roles across some of the following: Technology Practice Lead, Director/Senior Director of Solution Architecture/Technology Consulting, CTO, with a deep understanding of software development, platform delivery, solution architecture and digital transformation
