Purpose of the role:-
Design interface engineer to resolve and optimise product software to optimise and improve production processes with high focus on test time, yield and test coverage, Design, implementation and optimisation of test equipment and software for testing of product software and hardware.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Development, modification and control of functional test equipment during pre-series / prototype production and series production phase.
- To create test specification and develop test and analysis hardware and software. These will be used by the analysis department to test and de-bug failed parts from manufacturing and customers.
- Liaison between Design Engineers (German and Irish based), test equipment and production planning engineers.
- Some involvement in "quick response" situations for production test problems.
- Designing test fixtures for automotive electronics and high power electronics.
- Writing software algorithms, tools and specifications to test customer products and design.
- Development of Analysis instructions and specifications.

As a graduate engineer you will be working closely with senior managers on the delivery of major projects. As a graduate engineer you will work under the guidance of a more senior member of staff on the civil & structural engineering design of a broad range of projects.
Candidate Specification
Civil engineers will develop your skills in the following areas:
Foul & Surface Water Drainage + SUDs
- Road + pavement design
- Water main design,
- Flooding assessments
Traffic analysis.
Develop your skills in the use of civil software analysis and design packages such as Causeway Flow, Civils 3D, Tuflow, HEC-RAS, EPANet, AutoCad, TRICs, Linsig, QGIS, MapInfo etc.
Structural engineers will develop your skills in the following areas:
Concrete, steel, masonry and timber design.

Conceptual design
Develop your skills in the use of structural software analysis and design packages such as SCIA, Tekla, and TEDDS and drafting packages such as REVIT and AutoCad.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the design codes of practice.

Tirlán is offering unique opportunities for graduates to join our IT Applications & Infrastructure teams as an IT Associate. These roles will be Hybrid.
Located in our Abbey Quarter Office, these roles report to the IT Application Manager and IT Infrastructure Manager in supporting the delivery of our IT functions.
Responsibilities
- The systemisation of best-practice processes using leading edge SAP, OMP, Ortec and other business application platforms
- Support multi-disciplinary projects, working on business systems implementation including the preparation of project scope and business requirement documents, deployment activities, testing, user training, cut-over planning and post-live support
- Work closely with the business to improve the uptake and utilisation of SAP SCM and other third party business systems
- Implement designs and validate that the enhancements meet the requirement of the business through one to one meetings and unit testing
- Define alternative solutions to ensure system performance and business requirements are met
- Support the IT Infrastructure team in ensuring deployment of the appropriate hardware and software build to clients
- Work with the team to resolve incidents and ensure technologies are maintained in line with our security compliance procedures
- Support the implementation of disaster recovery solutions and security patching as required
- Research and development in emerging technologies
- Work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where the focus is on continuous improvement and the challenge to make it better
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or similar relevant degree
- Expected minimum of a 2.2 honours primary degree
- Ambition to progress successfully in a career in IT in an exciting, ever-changing and challenging environment
- Thinks commercially and delivers customer centric solutions
- Drives collaboration and builds partnerships to meet shared objectives
- Communicates clearly and can influence at all levels
- Demonstrates a thirst for knowledge with a desire to continually learn and grow
- Analytically minded with the ability to develop creative insights and execute change
- Accessibility to move between production sites is a distinct advantage
