at STS Group, you will lead and perform testing and inspection of Low Voltage electrical installations on mission-critical pharma and data centre projects. You'll ensure strict compliance with safety and quality standards, manage Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, and work closely with project teams to deliver safe, reliable, and certified electrical systems.
What You'll Do

• Lead Testing and Inspection - Perform and supervise testing of Low Voltage electrical installations, ensuring compliance with national electrical regulations and project specifications.
• Quality and Safety Oversight - Manage Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and Electrical Safe Systems of Work as the Appointed Person (AP) on site.
• Reporting and Documentation - Compile detailed defect reports, test records, 'As Built' Test Certificates, and update cable schedules and redlined drawings.
• Issue Resolution - Identify and report non-conformances or hazards to Project Managers and QC leads, assisting in the close-out of project issues and investigations.
• Team Collaboration - Work closely with project teams to provide quality training support (e.g., glanding and terminating) and ensure safe, efficient testing activities.

What We're Looking For

• Electrical trade qualification with experience in Data Centres / Industrial / Biopharma
• Knowledge and experience of Low Voltage systems
• 3+ years of experience
• QC Qualified.
• CompEx E01-06 qualified for ATEX environments.
• LOTO trained.
• Authorised Person trained.

Desirable But Not Essential

• Prior experience on Data Centre or Pharmaceutical projects.
• Work experience in European countries.
• Completed Instructor training courses (e.g: working at heights, manual handling or abrasive wheels)

MTM Engineering has an opportunity for a new Electrical Testing Manager to join our team in Slane. As a Testing Manager, you will work alongside our Quality team who currently manage the responsibilities of this role to oversee Electrical Testing across our current projects within Ireland and Europe. Given the scope of the role, travel to sites around Europe will be required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Quality department and back-office admin team to develop, lead and manage the current testing teams in place ensuring the efficient execution of electrical testing activities across multiple projects,
• Develop Testing Plans / ITP's and agree testing process with clients prior to commencement including test record paperwork and naming conventions,
• Attend Project Kick Off meetings to align with project scope between MTM and the client for all testing and torquing requirements,
• Ensure all testing is documented accurately in line with test values, results and naming convention and shared to relevant stakeholders,
• Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to testing team leads and team members for further development,
• Develop, implement, and review testing protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards, local codes, and regulations,
• Conduct fault analysis and root cause analysis for any issues identified during testing for lessons learned,
• Work closely with the quality team to allocate manpower resources to meet project deadlines in line with client dates,
• Work closely with in house store team to inform them of tooling requirements for projects,
• Attend weekly team's meetings on project updates lead by assigned contracts manager,
• Monitor team performance and maintain a high level of productivity in line with testing schedule and communicate to all stakeholders on testing progress,
• Provide regular updates to senior management on KPI's such as testing status on projects and open issues and corrective actions,
• Travel overseas to projects to oversee project commencement and ensure all key responsibilities and process are in place and aligned with agreed testing scope and ITP until the project is completed.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer with hands-on testing experience on industrial construction projects
• A strong track record of managing Testing teams
• Familiarity with electrical testing standards, and compliance to IS10101
• IT Skills - Microsoft Office Packages.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Experience working on Data Centre projects would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:
The Surveillance Testing Officer will be responsible for:

• Evaluating alert quality, false positive rates, and parameter thresholds, providing recommendations for tuning and configuration to enhance surveillance accuracy and efficiency.
• Performing scenario-based and continuous testing of surveillance logic to ensure models are functioning as expected and effectively capturing relevant behaviors.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a trade surveillance role designing, testing, and calibrating surveillance models or alert parameters at a financial institution (e.g. investment bank, broker, trading venue/exchange, proprietary trading firm or regulator).
• Working knowledge of the Nasdaq Trade Surveillance (SMARTS) tool.
• Good knowledge of Market Conduct/Market Abuse rules and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven analytical skills, including the analysis of large amounts of order and trade data whilst maintaining attention to detail.
• The ability to work and prioritize independently coupled with the judgment to involve management with issues as needed.
