Reporting to the Central Engineering manager, the Civil Design Engineer will be responsible for ensuring technical compliance on all project and, management of RIBA3-5 design processes and procedures. Some duties of the role involve attending design team meetings, managing procurement and technical submittals, assisting with tenders, producing deliverables and occasional site visits. Responsibilities: Assist in developing Design Delivery Schedules/Programmes along with the Client, Project Manager, Design team and consultants. Coaching/mentoring junior engineers on projects. Attending design related meetings and provide continual input to optimize design and minimize futile work, in person or through MSTF teams. Procure the design from a consultant design partner from initial tender enquiry to appointment. Liaison with the consultants responsible for the design on projects. Advise planning on any impacts that result from change management, issue, material delays and technical issues and potential mitigation. You'll play a hands-on role in the full product lifecycle-from concept to delivery-developing cutting-edge solutions that meet the highest standards in quality, reliability, and performance. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop UPS subsystems and components that meet stringent technical, EMC/EMI, and regulatory standards. Create and troubleshoot PCB designs for power electronic systems. Analyze and optimize the performance of electronic subsystems and components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (embedded, mechanical, test engineers) to define requirements and ensure seamless product integration. Investigate and implement improvements in existing designs and processes. Research and evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation. Prepare engineering documentation and technical reports. Ensure project deadlines and milestones are met. What We're Looking For: Required: Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power electronics. Deep understanding of power converter topologies, circuit design, and semiconductor devices. Preferred: Hands-on experience in PCB design and layout. Knowledge of EMC-compliant design practices. Experience developing UPS systems or power modules is a strong advantage. Analytical mindset, collaborative spirit, and strong problem-solving skills. Electrical Design Engineer We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer. Due to a growing number of successful project awards in the renewable energy sector, we are seeking Electrical Engineers at all levels to join a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative working environment. Responsibilities: Prepare engineering drawings, including substation layouts, elevations, and lightning protection zones. Develop detailed panel schematic and wiring diagrams. Design protection and control schemes for HV substations (10kV220kV). Draft equipment specifications to support procurement and design validation. Evaluate technical aspects of supplier and contractor proposals. Produce technical reports and design documentation. Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure design compliance. Support additional project tasks as required, with a flexible and proactive approach. Requirements: This Electrical Design Engineer will need a degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 3 years experience in a similar design role. Experience with HV substation design (10kV220kV). Familiarity with ESB standards (preferred). Proficiency in Eplan and AutoCAD 2D (preferred).
