**Role Description**
SMBC is seeking a QA Testing Specialist who has a strong passion for Quality Assurance processes and SDLC exposure. The QA Testing Specialist will design and execute test cases for application and integrated systems, while identifying, report, and track defects in applications and integrated systems. They will be given opportunities to participate in creating and maintaining regression test plans, cases, and scripts using Xray in Jira.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and managing test data for various systems. You will have previous experience with analyze test results and provide actionable feedback to development teams and applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to QA tasks.
This role will report to the Director of QA Testing.
**Role Objectives: Delivery**
+ Design and execute test cases for both functional and non-functional requirements of banking applications and internal systems.
+ Identify, report, and track defects across systems under test.
+ Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts using Jira and Xray.
+ Collaborate effectively within Agile teams, with a strong emphasis on onsite teamwork.
+ Analyze test results and contribute to continuous process improvement.
+ Prioritize tasks and projects in a dynamic environment.
+ Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to testing challenges.
+ Communicate clearly and effectively through written, oral, and presentation formats in a deadline-driven project environment.
**Qualifications and Skills**
+ Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 3 years' experience in a large-scale software development environment.
+ Proven track record working in Agile Scrum teams.
+ Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and iterative development best practices.
+ Passion for QA and a commitment to quality in Agile environments.
+ Strong analytical, strategic, and innovative thinking.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

This is a field-based role with travel to client sites across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities-
Perform testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) of HVAC systems including air and hydronic systems.

Verify and document airflow and water flow to design specifications.

Conduct system performance assessments including airflow, static pressure, pre-commissioning, commissionability studies, and water flow measurements.

Identify and troubleshoot system performance issues, providing recommendations for corrective action.

Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to verify design and installation compliance.

Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and commissioning teams to resolve technical issues.

Conduct site inspections and audits pre- and post-installation.

Prepare accurate TAB records and final balancing reports in line with project requirements and standards (e.g. CIBSE Code A, BSRIA, NEBB ).

Maintain calibration of instruments and ensure tools are in proper working condition.

**Experience**

+ Conversant in ITIL
+ Should be able to prepare automation strategy and plan and develop data reconciliation automations
+ Experience in designing Frameworks is a must
+ Good knowledge in any automation testing tools
+ Should have worked on defect management tools like QC or Jira
+ Extensive hands-on experience in Database, Data Warehouse (ETL), Data conversion, data migration, functional/regression, back/front end and API testing.
+ Should be a good leader in driving QA projects
