**What We're Looking For:**
+ Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a data science role.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience with cloud-based big data, machine learning, and analytics technologies - preferably with Databricks.
+ Experience working with Google Tag Manager clickstream data is a strong plus.
+ Proficient in SQL, with experience handling both structured and unstructured data.
+ Strong experience in Python or similar scripting languages.

**Data Scientists** working within the Optum Ireland R&D team supporting Optum Home and Community are developing cutting edge analytical products from one of the world's richest healthcare datasets. **Required qualifications:**
- Degree Qualified (BA, BS) in relevant field (analytics, mathematics, economics, business, statistics, engineering, or finance) or equivalent experience
- Significant experience in data analytics or data science, ideally with experience working with financial or healthcare-related data (e.g. pharmaceuticals, medical claims).
- Experience working with messy data and imputation techniques. The ideal candidate will be able to identify and address data quality issues and use imputation techniques to fill in missing data where appropriate.
- Proficient in researching, interpreting, and analysing diverse and complex data.

We have thousands of US clients, each with thousands of FDA approved drug prices to be managed.  We are using our predictive models to optimize millions of individual drug prices to ensure we deliver value for clients and ultimately people who are filling over 150 million prescriptions per year.

+ Strong focus on NLP, RAG and Document Analysis
+ Optimize models for performance, scalability and efficiency
+ Ability to take research whitepapers to production. Solid technical leadership to drive the Document Analysis team, which includes both data scientists and AI engineers
+ Drives excellence and standardization across the data science team with a focus on skills development, training and career progression

You will join a team of data scientists and data analysts who are responsible for designing analytics that underpins our products.
