Placement of Purchase Orders for equipment and spares is within the job role as is other administration work required to carry out your functional work. Setup of SLAs as appropriate. Timely resolution of Unplanned Works and recording of resolution, resource hours, costs via SAP Work Order. Work with the Planner (where applicable) to setup Optimised PM and Calibration Frequencies. Present technical data and lead tours of internal and external audit groups and customer visits Manage on site contractors under area of responsibility including the preparation of all required work permits and the review of risk assessments and method statement for the required tasks or work. Ensure that comprehensive maintenance documentation exists for each equipment item & that it is filed in an organised & legible manner in the designated shared folders. A day in the life

You'll escalate any issues you spot to your manager, but sometimes you'll be the most senior person on shift and will give people the direction they need to complete their tasks. At other times, you'll support your Shift/Area Manager in planning shifts to make sure you have enough team members working during peak times.

Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.
**Job Description**
**Responsibilities**
+ Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees. Typically managing hourly employee populations.
+ Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
+ Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
+ May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
+ A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE Healthcare. Explains technical information to others.
**Required Qualifications**
+ This role requires basic experience in the Manufacturing & Production Supervision. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
+ Several years of experience in team management
+ Strong awareness of GMP and GDP standards
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Openness to work in shifts

**Shift:**
Monday to Thursday 3.30pm to midnight
Friday 2.30pm to 10pm
**Key Responsibilities:**
Reporting to the Operations & Supply Chain Senior Manager, key responsibilities include:
+ Leading some of the following areas and maintain a high-profile presence in the area:
+ Moulding & Extrusion teams plus Warehouse Team
+ Assembly Teams
+ Drive own team and work with other teams to maximize performance.
+ Work with other stakeholders to resolve day to day problems, effect changes in procedures and ramp up line speeds or throughput.
+ Ensure strict compliance with all procedures, regulatory and GMP requirements, quality procedures including record keeping, inspection standards, product disposition and validation protocols.
+ Implement corrective and preventative actions identified through the quality process.
+ Manage your team's time and attendance, including absenteeism/overtime review and occupational health follow-up.
+ Maintain a positive employee relations atmosphere, ensuring that there is good communication and co-operation by encouraging knowledge sharing and open exchange of ideas within the Plant.
+ Take responsibility for training and development of employees on his/her shift. Ensure all employees achieve their full potential and develop their skills to meet the current and future needs of the Operations and Supply Chain Department.
+ Manage team effectively through coaching and counselling where appropriate, leading by example at all times
+ Promote continuous improvement and manage change effectively.
+ Ensure financial performance is maintained at required level with regard to material and labour efficiency.
+ Assist Department Manager and Planners in preparation of schedules.
+ Provide support as required for projects such as:
+ Process development, optimization and validation
+ Material selection and qualification
+ Equipment / mould procurement and introduction
+ Management of capital projects from inception to completion
+ EHS support and compliance within all areas of the dept.
**Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:**
+ General Manufacturing Operators and Process Service Operators will report to the Operations Supervisor
**EHS Responsibilities:**
+ Foster an awareness of Environmental Health & Safety in the plant and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
+ Maintain plant safety at the highest level with a zero accident target
+ Ensure strict compliance with plant environmental, health and safety policies, including:
+ Detailed and timely incident and accident reporting
+ Thorough investigation and corrective action for all hazardous occurrences and accidents and follow-up
**Education Required:**
+ A relevant third-level qualification
**Knowledge:**
+ Proven track record in people management
+ Demonstrated flexible and innovative approach to work
+ At least three years experience in a supervisory role in a GMP Manufacturing/Pharmaceutical/Regulated industry.
+ Good problem-solving, communication, computer analysis and decision-making skills are required.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Good human relations skills in dealing with all levels of employees.

+ You will also be responsible for leading operations processes to ensure that all products meet/exceed established quality standards, you will drive compliance to FDA, ISO and company requirements and champion efforts to comply with all safety, quality and operational documentation requirements and practices.
**What You Need:**
+ Degree or master's in business, Production Management, Engineering, or similar Discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience
+ 4 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ 2 years minimum Supervisor experience.
+ Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of a production environment.
+ Usually works with a minimum of supervision, conferring with leader on unusual matters.
+ Demonstrated leadership aptitude to work with people and set direction as part of a cross functional team.
+ Excellent knowledge & computer skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
+ Good knowledge of GMP / FDA regulatory requirements, housekeeping, health, and safety.
+ Genuine interest in investing in people and facilitates individual and team engagement and development.
+ Ability to coach, provide effective feedback and manage performance.
+ Problem solving methodology experience required with process knowledge desirable.
+ Can interpret and analyse information and translate into operation actions.
+ Excellent Influencing and communication skills
