**Position Purpose:**
Responsible for the day to day maintenance activities within the plant to keep downtime to a minimum using preventive and reactive maintenance procedures in line with site specific maintenance schedules. Ensure that the plant availability is optimised through constant and sustained programmes of maintenance to company safety and operational procedures and fully comply with HSE legislation and WID regulations. To carry out planned and breakdown maintenance at the plant prioritising works utilising the onsite defect reporting system and in agreement with the Shift Supervisor or Plant Manager. To assist in the operation of the planned maintenance system, including appropriate record keeping either by electronic or other means. Contribution to the forward planning of shut down and capital works within the operational site confines is of paramount importance.
**Key Job Activities:**
To provide first line breakdown/defect repairs and or support to Shift Supervisors, acting immediately and effectively to minimize the loss of plant availability.
To closely monitor the safe running of the plant and report to the Supervisor or Manager any engineering concerns.
To inspect, co-ordinate and maintain the plant maintenance documentation in conjunction with the Plant Manager.
To prepare and co-ordinate the inspection and effective repairs if required to all statutory and non-statutory testing actions required to plant and equipment.
To review and update where required or as and when necessary site maintenance procedures (site specific).
To ensure pending unsafe conditions are note and reported to the Plant Manager.
To maintain the workshop area and subsequent spares availability to ensure minimum downtime.
To provide the Plant Manager with appropriate stock lists as and when required for audit purposes.
To be involved with the 'out of hours' engineering support group in providing frontline maintenance support both commercially and physically when required.
To liaise with the Plant manager on improvement initiatives for company equipment.
To complete maintenance logs in line with company system.
To stand in for Shift Supervisor in their absence (site specific requirement).
**Education:**
Required Education: High School or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Bachelor's or equivalent.
**Experience (EMEAA):**
3+ Years of Experience.
Broad extensive knowledge of theories and techniques of a function.
Minimum requirement formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent) Hydraulics maintenance / fault finding.
Working Knowledge of steam systems on a waste to energy plant.
Pneumatics experience.
Welding MMA/MIG/TIG experience.
Oxy/propane cutting experience.
Electrical fault-finding experience (desirable)
16th/17th Edition Electrical Qualification (desirable)
FLT Licence
Heavy industrial plant experience (desirable)
A willingness to develop in the role.

**Responsibilities**

We are recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Cork. This position reports to the Operations Engineering Manager. This Maintenance Supervisor manages day-to-day Maintenance Department activities on site to ensure that all products are manufactured to GMP guidelines. Job Title: Maintenance Electrician Responsibility: To ensure plant is safe, working efficiently and reliably, and to ensure the smooth running of production by liaising with and helping production personnel with their requirements. To improve the productivity, cost efficiency and reliability of the plant using cross electrical and mechanical maintenance skills. While the electricians work will be predominantly electrical/controls oriented, it will involve applying a broad range of mechanical/electric/computing skills on automated manufacturing equipment and plant services. Core electrician skills will include knowledge and experience of instrumentation, industrial control systems, speed control, and PLCs, and will in addition, be supplemented by existing or developing mechanical skills such as welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical drive systems. This will be achieved by : Performing routine maintenance on all equipment and maintaining documentation records. Carrying out overhauls, repairs, and line modifications.Fault finding and repair of all site equipment, e.g., Production lines, compressors, boilers, refrigeration, etc, and, Motors, PLCs, temperature control systems, computers, HMI units, and sensors. Maintaining existing drawings, and developing electrical drawings and schematics for new enhancements, using AutoCAD. Responding to production line repair calls, by diagnosing equipment problems and performing the necessary repair. Ensuring spares stocks are maintained and controlled to the required levels. Having the competence to work autonomously and make decisions, and, to work in a multi-disciplined team cooperatively and with good communication skills. Maintaining good housekeeping standards inall areas and carry out all jobs to a high quality of workmanship, responsibility, neatness, and good communication with all parties involved. Performing all duties in accordance with current safety regulations. Undertaking installation and modification works and participating in the setup and running of new process and product trials. Participating in WCM projects for the improvement and development of the plant using technical expertise to design and implement changes.Using creativity, and ingenuity to devise plant changes which will improve safety, productivity, maintainability, and cost efficiency. Performing other duties or tasks as assigned or required from time to time depending on the requirements of the plant. To meet and assist Service Contractors if required. Call-out Service. Administration and Financial recording for the Maintenance Department. To maintaining/replace defective materials and equipment reported to maintenance. Maintenance of Hotel and grounds to require standards and procedures. To train Maintenance Assistant in all areas to ensure cover of the department in your absence To ensure that standards are maintained in accordance with the departmental SOP. To ensure that equipment is not abused and is used for its specific purpose only. To be responsible for your own safety and of those around you. To report on duty on time. To ensure that the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, dress, appearance, body language and conduct is maintained at all times. To attend all statutory training. To attend other training sessions as per the departmental training plan or as when required by management. Maintain a safe hygienic and healthy working environment. To ensure all accident, incidents and suspicious occurrences are reported to the relevant people and to assist in providing all relevant backup. To be familiar with and adhere to all rules and regulations of the hotel with specific regard to: Hygiene Fire Procedures Health and safety at work Security regulations To maintain good liaisons and communications within the department. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE Have a least two years previous experience with a good working knowledge of plumbing and electrical skills. Qualified trade would be an advantage.
