Responsibilities
1st Shift - Monday 07:30 - 17:00 and Tuesday - Thursday 07:30 - 18:00
Starting Pay € 14.25

Now hiring at our MSA Safety manufacturing plant in Galway, Ireland. As a Production Assembly Associate you will be responsible for the following:
- Prepare and assemble electronic components to printed circuit boards.
- Perform functional product testing and record test results.
- Mechanical assembly of tested PCB's into associated enclosures as per documented procedures and/or manufacturing assemble aids.
- Operation and scheduled maintenance of equipment.
- Hand soldering and population of SMT/THM components on Printed Circuit Boards.
All tasks are to be carried out in a manner which meets or exceeds internal company quality standards and /or IPC-A-610 Workmanship Standards,6S and MSA's Operating System.
Qualifications
- Incumbent must be flexible and supportive to all other employees and departments while performing daily tasks.
- Experience working in a manufacturing role.
- Demonstrated aptitude for mechanical / process related concepts.
- Minimum Irish Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent.
Ability to:
Speak, hear, sit, stand, walk, kneel/stoop, lift, push and pull up to 35 lbs/16 kg, good vision that includes ability to see colors
- Work in a factory setting with moderate noise
- Wear steel toe shoes and safety glasses/goggles
- Make independent and good judgement
- Interact regularly with team and staff
- Work under minimal supervision
- Perform repetitive tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred:
- Prior job experience working in a role involving product assembly and test.
- Certificate / Diploma in Electronics.

The Position:
The Production Assembly Operative applies skill and dexterity in the assembly of components into finished products, in keeping with regulatory and company guidelines. Assembly includes but is not limited to:
Mechanically fixing electrical components into luminaire housings and/or gear trays.
Fabrication of gear trays, housings etc (e.g., drilling, machining)
Wiring of lighting drivers, modules, batteries & fuse blocks etc.
Description:
Full-time Mon-Fri 39-hour week.

The Successful Candidate:
Will be competent in the use of hand tools.
