Head of Marketing & Communications - The Arts (Senior leadership opportunity with a leading Irish cultural institution) Location: Dublin 1 Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: €60,000 €70,000 (commensurate with experience) A well-renowned theatre in the Irish arts space is seeking a creative, collaborative and commercially driven Head of Marketing & Communications to lead its strategic marketing, audience engagement and brand development functions. Head of Marketing & Communications Location: Dublin 1, Ireland (Hybrid) Salary: €70,000 per annum Contract: Full-time, Permanent Our client is a leading arts organisation that is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Marketing & Communications to lead its audience engagement, brand, and communications efforts. This is a senior leadership role that reports directly into the Artistic Director and manages a team of 2 people, and has hybrid working arrangements. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Commercial Leadership Develop and implement integrated strategies across marketing, sales, and communications. Guide and support the development of a high-performing marketing team. Drive box office and revenue growth through creative, results-driven campaigns. Contribute to organisational strategic planning and long-term vision development. Brand Development Lead a major rebranding project and uphold brand consistency and quality across all platforms. Serve as the internal and external brand guardian, ensuring excellence in execution. Marketing & Communications Design and oversee multi-channel campaigns for productions, events, and initiatives. Manage media relations and ensure strong public and press visibility. Lead the development of a robust digital strategy to position the organisation as a digital innovator. Collaborate with designers, writers, and media professionals to produce high-impact collateral. Audience Development Analyse audience data and insights to inform strategy and engagement tactics. Sales & Ticketing Set and achieve ticket sales targets in collaboration with senior leadership. Use CRM and data analytics to inform pricing, segmentation, and audience behaviour. Oversee the development of digital platforms, including the website and customer journey. Manage relationships with ticketing and system providers. Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in a senior marketing leadership role, ideally within the arts or cultural sectors. Demonstrated success in brand building, campaign leadership, and audience growth. Proven team leadership and staff development skills. Strong commercial experience in sales, pricing strategy, and income generation. Familiarity with CRM platforms and data-driven marketing tools. Experience in media relations, with existing relationships in the Irish media landscape. Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication abilities. Deep understanding of audience development and inclusive engagement. Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and Board-level audiences. You will work closely with the senior management team to drive brand awareness, enhance guest engagement, and grow the hotel's online presence. Renowned for offering exceptional guest experiences, the hotel blends stunning natural surroundings with warm hospitality and top-tier facilities. The property is part of a well-established and growing hotel, committed to excellence and innovation. The Duties: Develop and implement the hotel's annual marketing and content strategy. Create engaging content for website, social media, email marketing, blogs, press releases, and advertising campaigns. Manage and grow the hotel's digital presence (social media, SEO, PPC, website updates, and newsletters). Coordinate with external agencies for PR, photography, and graphic design. Monitor marketing performance, using analytics tools to measure ROI and adapt campaigns accordingly. Drive seasonal campaigns and promotions in line with tourism trends and guest profiles. Liaise with internal departments (F&B, Events, Spa) to promote offers and packages. Ensure consistency in brand tone, style, and imagery across all channels. Assist with local partnerships and tourism initiatives to boost visibility. The Requirements: Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar marketing role, ideally within hospitality or tourism. Proven experience in content creation, social media management, and digital marketing tools. Experience with CMS, email marketing platforms, Google Analytics, and Adobe Creative Suite a plus. Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
