The COIN Project (Control-Oriented Innovations for Future Ocean Energy Farms) is focused on advancing renewable ocean energy in response to climate goals and growing concerns over energy security and pricing. By developing innovative solutions such as smart connectors for mooring and power, real-time AI-based wave prediction, and digital twin-based health monitoring, the project aims to overcome technical and economic challenges in wave energy. These technologies, supported by a techno-economic optimization framework, are designed to improve the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of ocean energy systems and support the transition to a cleaner energy future. **Responsibilities:**
+ Provide support in media strategy, measurement, and optimization that requires expertise in advanced analytics work, with special focus on Marketing Mix Models (MMMs).
+ Partner with internal teams in advanced analytics work including experimentation, measurement, and modeling.
+ Identify patterns and behaviors that are effective predictors of performance and critical drivers for a successful media plan.
+ Deliver customer-centric, data-driven approach, based on a people-based marketing strategy to build, segment, and test audiences for best business results.
+ Develop evaluation frameworks for large-scale models, new metrics, and investigate anomalies. Frame and solve ambiguous problems by scoping technical priorities and innovating on statistical methods.

**Data Scientists** working within the Optum Ireland R&D team supporting Optum Home and Community are developing cutting edge analytical products from one of the world's richest healthcare datasets. **Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Be an independent thinker and advocate of data science methods and applications
+ Research, develop and apply new innovative analytics methods and technologies from other domains to healthcare data

+ Work with autonomy and in partnership with other Data Scientists to find solutions to complex problems
+ Leverage technical / analytical expertise across the enterprise to architect, deploy and oversee analytics and technology solutions

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Undergraduate Degree in engineering/computer/statistics
+ Experience in analytics / data science in a business or academic context
+ Demonstrated experience using programming to solve complex technical problems
+ Demonstrated experience accessing data from various data environments
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Masters Degree or PhD in a technical field (e.g. computer science, science, engineering, math / stats, physics etc.)
+ Core knowledge of statistics, machine-learning and numerical / computational methods with experience in the application of these methods to business problems
+ Extensive programming experience with Python/Pyspark or other analytics languages
+ Experience working within a software development team and using version control systems such as Git.
+ Experience of large-scale distributed computing environments (Hadoop, Hive, Databricks etc)
+ Experience developing analytical solutions on cloud computing platforms i.e. Azure
+ Experience applying deep learning methods to business problems using TensorFlow, Keras, etc.
+ Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning methods for model build and deployment
+ Experience applying computational algorithms and statistical methods to structured and unstructured data
+ Experience of the US Healthcare sector
