Day-to-day Support:
- Provide on-site 3rd-level support to the service desk and on-site engineers to enable the successful resolution of infrastructure-related incidents.
Problem Management:

- Root cause analysis for escalated incidents, with a view to minimising both the frequency of specific incidents but also their resolution time

What we're looking for
- 3+ years in a Systems Administrator role supporting a large user base across multiple locations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and enterprise environments (Windows/MacOS/Linux).
- Experience with Azure/AWS, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and security best practices.
- Background in HRIS or enterprise-level ITSM systems is a strong plus.

My client who is one of Ireland's leading wholesale distribution companys is looking for a Senior Sytem Administrator to join their team. You will own and enhance their on-premise and Azure environments while guiding and mentoring a fellow Systems Administrator. This is a permanent hybrid position, offering the flexibility to balance remote work with on-site collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Ensure day-to-day reliability, security and performance across Azure, Microsoft 365, networking, servers.
- Lead/mentor a Systems Administrator and act as a go-to escalation point.
- Drive hardening, patching, identity, backup/DR, monitoring and incident response.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and future growth
- Partner with trusted vendors to deliver best-in-class outcomes across networking, virtualisation, infrastructure and cybersecurity.
- Influence roadmaps, standards and procurement.
What You'll Bring
