The Network Monitoring team in AWS is looking for System Development Engineers (SysDe) to build the software that monitors the AWS network, one of the world's largest and most complex in the world. A SysDE is responsible for maintaining their teams' services, requiring them to troubleshoot and identify the root causes of any issues that arise within their systems and any subcomponents. Key job responsibilities
We start by consolidating our customer requirements in a location and forecasting future growth of their services. We develop a requirement list then work with engineering to design the network to support it. The plan then becomes a program, detailing physical infrastructure, networking and services hardware and internet, peering and backbone connectivity.
The TIPM would work with Business Development teams to contract space in colo/edge facilities and then manage the deployments with our dedicated engineering and installation teams and the facility provider.
The final piece is Internet and peering connectivity and again we have dedicated teams for contracting those.
The end result is a new AWS Edge point of presence, redundantly connected via multiple backbone paths, with the local market customer base directly connected to AWS and our customer's services.

The Network Infrastructure team is responsible for designing, building and operating one of the largest networks in the world. Networking is at the core of all Meta products and experiences, and we are looking for Production Network Engineers who are interested in solving complex technical challenges in the Backbone, Datacenter Network, and AI Network domains. For this role, we are seeking a Network Development Engineer to work in our Direct Connect Network Engineering organization. This team is responsible for designing all aspects of the global network fabric for the AWS Direct Connect service. Engineers in this organization define the hardware platforms, physical topologies, routing architectures and software control systems for these networks. Basic Qualifications
- Extensive industry experience working in large scale networking environments.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience is mandatory.
- Experience with major routing protocols, such as BGP and MPLS.

Come join a creative team of Operations Technology Engineers who build the infrastructure that powers Amazon fulfillment centers and transportation sites worldwide. These networks are used by hundreds of thousands of associates, relied upon by operators of industry-leading fulfillment and transportation systems, and play a critical role in the delivery of shipments to Amazon retail customers.
We are looking for a Network Development Engineer to provide technical thought leadership in the development of our next-generation networks. As we look to the future, our networks will support an ecosystem of robotics, industrial IoT, sensors, drones, and mobile devices. You are comfortable with taking risks, and iterating on designs that may fail at the outset to ultimately deliver robust systems that elegantly scale. The team follows a follow-the-sun on-call rotation, where the on-call engineer represents the Network Reliability team during operational networking events, coordinating efforts for swift mitigation.
