  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to FDA, SOX, ISO regulations.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and respond to IT audit requests while resolving any audit findings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience implementing Cisco LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Applied knowledge of network hardware, protocols, Internet standards, the OSI model, and TCP/IP.
  • Experience in Data Center environments, Nexus Switching, and F5 load balancing is desirable.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and SD-WAN deployment is a plus.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with data privacy laws and compliance standards.
  • Previous experience in a multinational company is beneficial .

Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)

  • Cisco CCNA, PCNSE, or equivalent certifications.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation or higher qualification.

    Senior Network Technician
    working across Ireland – you will be the technical face of SWARCO to our customers. Developing their Network Architecture and Communication Resilience. You will travel from site to site – fault-finding, maintaining and optimising their network operations.

You will also:

  • Install, configure, and commission networking equipment such as switches, routers, antennas, and media convertors.

Profile
What we are looking for

  • Proven experience designing and maintaining Industrial or Enterprise-grade networks.
  • Knowledge of Network Protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VPNs)
  • Proficiency in configuring switches, routers, firewalls (Cisco, OTN, Hirshman, AMG or similar) and wireless (PtP/LoS) network technologies.
  • Desirable: Any experience with IoT protocols (especially MQTT, Modbus)
  • Desirable: Knowledge of SNMP based monitoring tools (eg.Solarwinds, PRTG and Zabbix).
