A day in the life
You'll work shifts and be based onsite. Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site. You'll also monitor and maintain process efficiency. Your days will always include routine team management and daily operational tasks, alongside other tasks like individual escalations, process improvement work and wide-scale operational contingency planning.
Being a key part of the operations team involves working with colleagues in other teams and external partners to make sure we stay on track to meet our customer demands and targets. This will involve analyzing data and performance metrics with leaders in your business area.
About the team
Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers' delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon Restaurants.
There are two sides to what we do. Our 'under the roof' associates process millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams. Our team is people-focused and supportive, particularly as lots of our people work through the night. We focus mostly on operations, with 24/7 shifts in most of our locations.
Every year, we continually raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services. We look for new ways to overcome industry wide logistics challenges and new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint, supported by a portfolio of cutting-edge vehicles (including Electric Vehicles) and technology to help us do just that.
Basic Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in local language in both written and verbal communication (C1 Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR)
- Relevant experience working with data analytics and using these metrics to identify problems
- Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment

Job Description
We are looking for an Operations Engineer to join our operations team in Clonshaugh, Dublin 17. The operations engineer role is dynamic and central to our team's success,
offering a wide range of responsibilities. You'll play a key role in driving projects, including serving as the main manufacturing contact for NPI projects, supporting compliance efforts, and ensuring smooth operations. Facilitating inter-departmental communication and promoting a culture of continuous improvement are essential elements of the role. You'll track important metrics, uphold safety and environmental standards, and support various training initiatives. Additionally, you'll concentrate on identifying and engaging in strategic initiatives. Throughout these efforts, you'll ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, operational, and organisational requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Document Procedure and Process Streamlining updates.
+ Act as point of contact for operations equipment and NPI projects.
+ Support and implement compliance initiatives.
+ Support Regulatory or other inspections and audits.
+ Develop inter-departmental communication planning
+ Support measurement and tracking department metrics
+ Adhere to and support all EHS & Environmental standards, procedures and policies.

+ High level of attention to detail and mental concentration, to always ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures and to identify areas and actions for improvement.
+ Must be results driven striving to meet all targets and metric standards as set by site/department and division leaders
+ High level of communication and time management skills to effectively promote the execution of all manufacturing projects in line with quality, safety, environmental and operational requirements.
