Job Description
We are looking for an Operations Engineer to join our operations team in Clonshaugh, Dublin 17. The operations engineer role is dynamic and central to our team's success,
offering a wide range of responsibilities. You'll play a key role in driving projects, including serving as the main manufacturing contact for NPI projects, supporting compliance efforts, and ensuring smooth operations. Facilitating inter-departmental communication and promoting a culture of continuous improvement are essential elements of the role. You'll track important metrics, uphold safety and environmental standards, and support various training initiatives. Additionally, you'll concentrate on identifying and engaging in strategic initiatives. Throughout these efforts, you'll ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, operational, and organisational requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Document Procedure and Process Streamlining updates.
+ Act as point of contact for operations equipment and NPI projects.
+ Support and implement compliance initiatives.
+ Support Regulatory or other inspections and audits.
+ Develop inter-departmental communication planning
+ Support measurement and tracking department metrics

+ Degree qualification or equivalent in relevant science or engineering discipline and suitable experience.
+ Strong track record of troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
+ High level of attention to detail and mental concentration, to always ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures and to identify areas and actions for improvement.
+ Must be results driven striving to meet all targets and metric standards as set by site/department and division leaders
+ High level of communication and time management skills to effectively promote the execution of all manufacturing projects in line with quality, safety, environmental and operational requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities The principal duties and responsibilities of the Operations Support Engineer will include some or all of the following: Ensuring Transport Technology systems are operating and maintained to the highest standards. These systems currently include (but are not limited to): Automatic vehicle location (AVL) systems which includes on-bus equipment and operational reporting systems; Ticketing systems which includes on-bus equipment, station/stop based equipment, and operational reporting functions; and Real-time passenger information (RTPI) systems. Being responsible for addressing service-related issues at operator sites, including but not limited to: troubleshooting minor software problems, firmware upgrade, hardware troubleshooting, providing training to customers and new operations personnel. Being responsible for coordinating system installations and/or upgrades at NTA and customer sites,working collaboratively with suppliers andtransportoperators to actively resolve technical issues with all systems. Developing and updating documentation covering all aspects of operations support to facilitate knowledge transfer and standardise operational support interfaces and communication channels between service providers, transport operators and the NTA. Being accountable for the development, operation and maintenance of practices, processes and procedures as applicable to the operations team. Ensuring the timely and prioritised management of incident faults relating to vehicle equipment and relevant NTA back-office systems through a managed service desk. Supporting and maintaining the relationship with managers, internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and contractors that supply services to Transport Technology and the NTA. Managing, reporting and mitigation of risks across allTransport Technology systemsand business services. Other related tasks as assigned by the Technical Operations Manager as required from time to time. Note:The functions and responsibilities initially assigned to the positions are based on the current organisational requirements and may be changed from time to time. The persons appointed require the flexibility to fulfil other roles and responsibilities at a similar level within the Authority. Essential Criteria Please note: In order to satisfy the shortlisting panel that you meet these criteria you must explicitly reference how you meet same in your application. Failure to demonstrate these may prevent your application progressing to future shortlisting stages. Each candidate must meet the following requirements at the time of the competition closing: Hold a minimum of a NFQ Level 7 qualification in a relevant technical subject, preferably engineering or computing; Have a minimum of 5 years recent satisfactory experience in a technical support, development, or testing function; Have a minimum of 2 years experience in managing people or projects; Good working knowledge IT Service Management processes, to assist in the identification and resolution of issues; Demonstrated experience in developing and running service processes and procedures, preferably in accordance with a recognised service management standard (ITIL or equivalent); and Experience of stakeholder management in a complex multi-vendor IT or engineering environments. Desirable Criteria Please note: Should further shortlisting be required after essential criteria above, a selection of the following may be assessed. The ideal candidate will also have: Knowledge of public transport industry and its operating models; Knowledge of software and systems design/system engineering for public transport services applications; Experience in business analysis including requirements gathering and process mapping; and A project management and/or operations management qualification.

As an Operations Quality Engineer you will Analyse quality standards for components, materials or services. Apply measures, sampling methods, testing methodology and other procedures that ensure that quality standards are met. Provide Quality expertise and guidance to Manufacturing/Operations, Technical/Product Test and Incoming Materials to support the manufacture and delivery of quality and compliant products on time, in full and cost effectively to meet the needs of the business and customers.
This is a shift based role on 4 cycle shift.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Apply quality principles, analyses quality records, prepares reports and recommends improvements.
+ Conduct inspection, verification and validation of components or materials used in development processes.
+ Identify and address recurring problems either with the quality of the product or the reliability of testing procedures.
+ Document quality issues and performance measures for management review.
+ May liaise with external vendors.
+ Monitor and maintain the validation status of site products, processes and systems and monitor and maintain process FMEA and Critical Quality Attribute systems. Maintain site validation plans and periodic review process. Support Equipment and Software validation activities and support Process validation activities
+ Provide regular updates to peers and colleagues on project resource requirements and ensure other quality functions are brought into project teams at appropriate points.
+ Report on and support the implementation of actions to reduce the occurrence/reoccurrence of non-conformances within Manufacturing, Product Test and Incoming Material and initiating Exception Reports for discrepancies observed during inspection / testing & review activities.
+ Present and communicate status, report metrics, identify trends potential issues, improvement initiatives and CAPA requirements.
+ Investigating customer complaints and forwarding reports to PQA group and responsible for maintaining Corrective and Preventive Action programs.
+ Responsible for maintaining an appropriate balance of quality, compliance and business risk and responsible for ensuring teams use appropriate risk management tools to prioritize certain activities and justify the level of effort required.
+ Monitor and maintain the quality and compliance status of associated quality records and ensure project teams maintain project records in compliance with Quality System and planned requirements.
+ Support DMR change control and calibration activities.
**Qualifications and Experience**
+ Minimum NFQ Level 7 Qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing qualification
+ 3 years in a Manufacturing / Science or Engineering environment
+ GMP/GDP experience
+ ISO 13485 experience
+ Yellow belt qualification desired.
